Really tremendous game today against Alabama A&M. Has good skill finishing on the break. Showed some nice rebounding and post moves. Count me in the group that thinks he should play ~10 minutes per game in conference. Probably 5 minutes spelling Govan with Derrickson still in the game, and 5 minutes spelling Derrickson with Govan still in the game. He should be playing 25+ minutes a game. We can win alot of games if he plays. Not sure he is ready for that much time, especially as the competition gets tougher. He got lost a few times on defense. But he will battle, can run the floor and finish, and sticks his nose in on the boards. I would definitely agree with 10-15 minutes. I got the impression from the announcers that Patrick had to ride Antwan a little at practice this week. Hopefully that keeps him moving in the right direction to contribute consistently - we absolutely need him, and could have some desperate games with foul trouble for our bigs.

Obviously Ewing wanted a secret weapon going into the BE conference. He has chosen Walker to be his X-factor off the bench. BE teams have little footage of him so will be unprepared to deal with him as he provides the offensive and defensive rebounding and dunks finishing fast breaks off the bench.😉

This last thought crossed my mind. Antwan IS a player and he looked good out there. He adds a lot and that is some length the team has out there. Coaches ride players they have high expectations from; if they keep developing chemistry some good things will happen. They will have some favorable mismatches somewhere on the floor. Bring on the Big East!

Yeah, I love it too. I was reading those quotes this morning and thinking to myself that Ewing keeps saying the right thing so far as how he motivates and instructs his players. Such info also provides glimpses of insight regarding Ewing's approach to coaching.

The "pump fake" would make one of D. C.'s own (DeMatha)great & legend Adrian Dantley very proud. Walker will be going to the free throw a lot. He should knock down most of his free throws. Great photo!!!

Yes! Whatever the results, I like the effort and style of play. He is establishing his culture on this team.If Walker wants to play he will deliver what the coach is requiring of him.

Patrick probably dove on the floor during his career more than any other HOF center. He knows the value of hard work and commitment.
His players will all know it too.
