This, in short, was collusion — Trump’s top campaign official giving material to a suspected agent of a hostile foreign government that the campaign had already been warned was attempting to interfere with our election. Whatever you call it — direct or indirect evidence — this now is one link proven in court between the campaign and the Russians. We know of others, of course, including the Trump Tower meeting in June 2016 designed to get dirt on Hillary Clinton, Trump’s public call for Russia to go after Clinton’s emails, and more than 100 contacts between Russian figures and members of the Trump circle. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2019/02/14/manaforts-court-day-spell-trouble-trump/?utm_term=.628e09a462ad

The question of whether Rosenstein seriously considered being wired up to conduct ELSUR on Trump is nothing more than a distraction. No doubt, Rosenstein and McCabe wrote up memos to file or 302s just as Comey did. That's what FBI agents do. And no doubt Jim Rybicki (COS) and Jim Baker (GC) as lawyers advising the Director et al have their contemporaneous notes of meetings.

Jeffrey Rosen to replace Rosenstein? No criminal experience apparently but what the heck! The AAG for Criminal Division has none either. The "best people?"

Probably too much to ask for bail revocation on this first offense, but I'd expect that the judge will beat Stone up verbally to the extent he may need an underwear change. And, I think we can rest assured, that he'll do something else that will ultimately cause his bail to be revoked.

Stone is already charged with obstruction and his Instagram post could be construed as a threat to a judicial officer. I can hope, can't I? www.justice.gov/jm/criminal-resource-manual-26-release-and-detention-pending-judicial-proceedings-18-usc-3141-et

This is certainly a threat to a judicial officer. And we all have hope. I'm more inclined to reduce Stone's various appeal avenues as much as possible.

Next up for perjury? Whitaker? Let's see if House refers his testimony to UDAO DC for investigation for perjury before Congress for testifying he never discussed SCO "or any other investigation" with Trump.

Just returned from Stone's show cause hearing. Stone's incompetent lawyers put him on the stand under oath. Judge Berman Jackson warned his attorneys that not only would she cross-examine him but the USAO DC/SCO gets to do so as well. Judge Berman Jackson and USAO/SCO tore Stone a new orifice. Two guys were thrown out of the courtroom by the CSOs for audibly guffawing at Stone incredible/contradictory testimony. The judge took a 20 minute break and came back to impose further gag orders on Stone, and lambasted his testimony as not credible. He can only use social media to fund raise for his defense and state that he is innocent. He cannot comment on the trial, the witnesses, SCO, USAO DC, the judge etc. He's had his first strike and the judge said "this is not baseball." His second strike she will revoke his bail and send him to jail. Stone, much like Trump, is a narcissistic lying POS. In their political arena with their ignorant supporters maybe they can get away with it. In the legal arena, it's a different story. www.washingtonpost.com/local/legal-issues/roger-stone-due-back-in-court-after-instagram-post-that-showed-judge-in-his-case/2019/02/20/ee8d8e00-352a-11e9-af5b-b51b7ff322e9_story.html?utm_term=.15c578346c9bIn the world of politics, being a self-described “dirty trickster” has worked out just fine for Roger Stone. At a hearing Thursday, a judge noted that the longtime Trump adviser earned as much as $47,000 a month as a consultant. But being a dirty trickster apparently works quite a bit less well in a court of law. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/02/21/roger-stones-dirty-tricks-just-caught-up-with-him/?utm_term=.1c28d20914e5Stone's lawyer is a Trump lawyer: www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/who-is-roger-stone%E2%80%99s-new-attorney-bruce-rogow/ar-BBPbgJm

SCO filing redacted Manafort sentencing memo. The more redactions, the better! Indicates a stronger foreign counterintelligence focus with evidence gathered through national technical means. And somewhat surprisingly, the SG's office supports SCO in In Re Grand Jury Subpoena. On Friday, Solicitor General Noel Francisco filed a brief on behalf of the special counsel's office regarding In Re Grand Jury Subpoena, the case concerning the special counsel's attempt to subpoena an unnamed company owned by an unnamed foreign government. The brief argues that the Supreme Court should deny the corporation's petition for a writ of certiorari. The brief is available below. www.lawfareblog.com/document-solicitor-general-files-brief-mystery-grand-jury-case

Trump cultists really scrambling to hide the facts. They lose again. On Tuesday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit rejected former Roger Stone associate Andrew Miller’s challenge to a grand jury subpoena issued in the course of the the special counsel’s investigation. Miller had argued that the subpoena was invalid because Robert Mueller’s appointment as special counsel was unlawful. The three-judge panel of Judges Judith Rogers, Sri Srinivasan and Karen Henderson unanimously affirmed a district court ruling that held Miller in civil contempt after he refused to comply with the subpoena. The full opinion, written by Judge Rogers, is available below. www.lawfareblog.com/document-dc-circuit-rejects-andrew-millers-subpoena-challenge

These are incredibly damning pieces of information. They are also reliant upon the testimony of a convicted liar. Not saying they are not true; just recognizing the source is a bit tainted himself.
