Che Evans Jr., a 6-foot-6 shooting guard from Dulaney (MD) High School, caught up with us at D1Vision to break down his recruiting thus far.
“I’ve taken unofficial visits thus far to Indiana, last year,” Evans said. “Coach [Tom] Crean was the head coach then, it was great.
“This year my visits were to Penn State, Villanova (twice), St. John’s, Maryland, and Georgetown,” Evans reported. “I actually loved each visit as well as the coaches.”
According to 247Sports, Evans Jr. is the No. 33 overall player for the Class of 2020 and the No. 10 shooting guard. Evans Jr. told us at D1Vision that he has a blue blood in mind to visit soon.
“I’m actually trying to get a few more visits in before December when our official high school season starts,” Evans stated. “I’m looking to visit Duke for sure. It is within driving distance and I’m getting new interest from them.”
Duke has their eyes on Class of 2020 players such as five-star versatile forward Isaiah Todd, five-star point guard RJ Hampton, and four-star wing Jalen Johnson. Hampton arrived on campus Friday (Oct. 20th) for an unofficial visit.
Evans Jr. let us in on who is coming after him strongly at the moment.
“Every school that has offered thus far is recruiting me hard,” Evans said. “Coach Patrick Ewing and Akbar Waheed from Georgetown loves my potential as a pro prospect if I keep working hard. Coach Jay Wright from Villanova loves that I have high academics as well as a strong work ethic. Him as well as coach Ashley [Howard] love my potential.
“TCU and coach Ryan Miller,” Evans continued. “He offered me early and his brother Mike Miller played in the NBA for 17 years. The Penn State staff as well as coach Matt [Abdelmassih] from St. John’s really like me. Maryland is another school recruiting me strongly. I will monitor them and watch who they offer in my class as well as my position. Coach [Mark] Turgeon is very energetic. Coach [Bino] Ranson watched me as a kid.”
Multiple schools have been in to see Evans Jr.
“Florida is planning to come see me,” Evans said. “They just got a commitment from [Noah] Locke in my AAU program, Team Melo. They told my AAU coaches that I am a priority for the Class of 2020. They have already come to my school this year as were Maryland, Ole Miss, Georgetown and Villanova, amongst many others.”

Do not like the cherry picking, but otherwise looks good.

Che Evans, the 6-foot-7 shooting guard from Dulaney (MD) High School, told ZAGSBLOG on Wednesday that Maryland, Villanova, St. John’s, Michigan State, and Georgetown are the five schools recruiting him the hardest. Georgetown: “They are also recruiting me hard. I’ve sat down with the coaching staff for 30 minutes to an hour. I have a great relationship with Georgetown. It’s close to home. It’s not far at all. Coach Patrick [Ewing] is very welcoming. He doesn’t do that for a lot of kids. I go to a lot of their games.” www.zagsblog.com/2018/03/07/2020-che-evans-drawing-high-major-interest/

That seems to be the trend. He should play 3 at least. I don't think you can count on any player to give you more than 2.
