At least the Caps made it to the Stanley Cup finals. Nats can't even get out of the NLDS. And that window is closing.

It's so hard to have followed the Nats all year, for the team to have played so well, then flame out in the NLDS again. Can't read or watch sports today...

As crazy a baseball game, post-season or otherwise, as I've ever seen. And that encompasses my fifty-plus years as a Mets fan.

I honestly don't know which team gagged worse, the Nats or the Indians. I think I would have to go with the Indians, who won 35 out of 39, and then lost three straight, including making seven errors in the last two games. That's a big time regression to the mean. The problem with the Nats is that something goes wrong every year. Last year, of course, I was not rooting for them, since they were playing the Dodgers. But this year, with Strasburg pitching totally lights out, one would think that there would be no way they could lose to the Cubs, but they did anyway. To quote the late, great Roseanne Roseannadana, it's always something.

As a Nats fan, you should be dancing with this news. 10straight elimination game losses.
