What's the next step? Are you waiting for more to come in and process it? You still have two years.
Yeah, I still have two years. I've actually just been getting offers since April. So, all of this is kind of new to me. Before April, I had like three offers. So, I wasn't really used to it. I'm actually trying to go on a few visits.
Is that before school begins?
Before school, I'll probably make a stop at Georgetown and Villanova, but, other than that, just trying to see what I'm looking for. During school, I'm going to visit schools in season. Just going to games and see what school fits me...
Who are some other ones you want to give credit to?
Georgetown, definitely. St. John’s has been there since the ninth grade…
What about Virginia’s program and also talk about Georgetown’s message?
Georgetown’s historically great for big men. Coach Louis (Orr) really does love me and likes coaching and I spoke to him on the phone a couple times and he loves my game. So, he said they’d look after me and stuff like that. But historically, they’re a good program as you know. For Virginia, they play in the ACC, have been successful recently, and are good academically....
Also, the audience should know you’re a very good student as well.
Yes, yes. So that’s why most schools, all the Ivy League schools, they’re recruiting me also. Yale is going pretty hard...
I also don’t think you’re done growing. You could potentially grow.
I was just at the doctor’s actually, cause I just came back from Ireland. So I went to the doctor’s to check out my knees and my growth plates and they said I could be like 7’0”. If I can be 7’0” and keep my athleticism, the sky’s the limit.
Did you always have this athleticism?
No, no, I did not. I could always move and have coordination. I think me working on my core a lot..I think a lot of people don’t always know how much I work out. I work out at home. I do a lot of pushups. I work on my body. From there, I just gotta work on adding inches on my vertical. Right now, I’m up to 38.3”.
I wanted to touch on the fact that in the state of New York, you have a lot of quality big men all in your class. Now Kofi (Cockburn) stepped up..
Mmmhmm.
Isaiah Stewart..Touch on all of you guys coming up.
Yes. It’s good to see cause a lot of people say New York basketball fell off and I think the class of 2019, we have a lot of strong players.
I think with Mo (Bamba) going…I think there are a lot of strong players from New York, but they may not be playing there. Hami (Diallo) going away…
Yes, but I think New York and even New Jersey, they’re good too. I’d like to see that. I’d like to see us.
And with all three of you at the same time…add Cole (Anthony), Precious (Achiuwa), and Jalen (Lecque)
Yeah, yeah, so it’s good. And we all have different types of games.
All different types of strengths. I do think at least two of you guys could play together in college.
Yeah, actually, I’ve been talking to one player.
Might that player be....I’m thinking of Mr. Stewart.
(laughs) Yeah, me and him have very similar schools and we’ve been texting a lot...
You both play hard, but also have got a good sense of humor.
Yeah, yeah, yes, sir. And we have similar offers. We do have very similar offers. We have twenty of the same offers. It has been a conversation.
Sometimes, a guard and a big guy want to play together, but I could see it work.
Yeah, it definitely could work. It’s a blessing.
What are you hoping to do this high schools season? Are you going back to Lawrence Woodmere?
I’m going back to Woodmere again. My thing I was afraid of is I didn’t get enough exposure, but, with this AAU season, I think I’m good. And academically, it gives that to me too. They’re really for me.
They’ve been supportive of you.
Yeah, so, it does mean a lot. I might possibly stay there again for my senior season.
At least for this year…you're definitely staying.
At least for this year, I’m definitely staying.

Igiehon Seeing His Stock Rise This Summer
After officially "blowing up" at the 2016 Pangos All-East Camp last October, it was a relatively quiet winter and spring for 6'10" big man Aidan Igiehon. However, after a great showing at the Nike Elite 100 Camp last month, his stock has been on the rise again. He continued his strong camp showing at Hoop Group this week, where he's clearly the most polished and explosive big in the event. Arizona, Syracuse, Villanova, Stanford, Harvard, St. John's, Seton Hall, Texas A&M, Illinois, Xavier, Oklahoma, Rutgers & South Carolina are among the schools heavily pursuing the Ireland native, and with good reason. An explosive athlete with a huge motor and constantly improving skills, he's currently a 4-star prospect with a chance to hit the 5-star range with his rapid growth.

Irish Basketball Sensation Here in NY
....Sport runs in the Harris Igiehon family. Aiden’s 19-year-old brother Brandon is playing college soccer in the United States and Aiden is hoping to follow in his footsteps in playing at college level in the US
Aiden admitted the move from Dublin to New York was a challenge.
“It was a big transition for me last year when I made the move over and I didn’t settle in right away. Socially, I settled in quickly but the athletic part of this transition was very difficult for me and it’s something I didn’t expect.
“I struggled; I went from being a really good player in Ireland to being a not so good player over here,” he told The Irish Times.
He says a new strength and conditioning regime had changed his game in the past year and gave him the edge to play better.
“I did a lot of strength and conditioning in the past number of months and from this, I have grown even more. I grew from 6ft 6in to 6ft 9in. This has been the biggest transformation for me.
“I put on 10kg of muscle and not even by weights. It was done by pull-ups and now I’m averaging 22 points,” he added.
Now standing at 6ft 10in the Dublin teenager has his eyes firmly focused on playing college basketball in the next two years and his goal is to reach the NBA.
“I’m currently averaging 22 points a game which is good. This summer from say April to July, I went from having three college scholarships to having 33.

From an interview in June just after the NBA Top 100 Camp
One of the biggest stock-risers from the Nike Elite 100 over the weekend was 2019 Lawrence Woodmere Academy (NY) big man Aidan Igiehon, who impressed in St. Louis with his post presence and immense potential down the road.
A native of Ireland, Igiehon made his move to the United States just before his high school career began. Since then, he has become an intriguing option for college coaches throughout the country.
“Georgetown, Stanford, Oklahoma, Xavier, Yale, Princeton, Illinois, Indiana, Syracuse, St. John’s, Ohio State, and Arizona are some of the schools involved,” Igiehon told HoopSeen.com. “Duke reached out recently, too.”
Igiehon’s recruitment speaks volumes about the state of his current game. At 6-foot-10, the rising junior has fantastic hands and footwork in the paint. He dominated on the low block with his strength and size and even showcased a variety of post moves in his arsenal. Igiehon finished over either shoulder, but really excelled with his step-through to counter a hook over his shoulder. He also showed good signs of being a quality defender for his size with the ability to help and recover in pick-and-roll situations.
While it is very early in Igiehon’s recruitment, a couple of schools made a statement on June 15th, the first day college coaches could contact 2019 prospects directly.
“Xavier and Ohio State were the first schools to call me at midnight. Coach [Chris} Mack from Xavier called at 12:01 and we had a good talk. I really like him.”
Prior to the Elite 100, Igiehon was able to stop by and visit Saint Louis University. He earned an offer from Travis Ford and the Billikens. Igiehon hopes to make some more visits in the near future.
“I visited St. John’s my 9th grade year. Yale wants me to come visit before the July travel season gets going again, and Arizona and Syracuse want me to come visit, too. I want to try and get to those schools,” he explained.
If his performance from the Elite 100 is any indication, Igiehon is set to soar up coaches’ big boards for the 2019 class. Duke is beginning to show preliminary interest, and, chances are they won’t be the only blue-blood involved when everything is all said and done. Expect plenty of college coaches to be following Igiehon, a player that has a chance to be regarded as a top-30 big man in the country.

I posted to that effect awhile back...don't know that he is Catholic, but if so the fact that Georgetown is the oldest Catholic University in the US might be a positive for him/his family...

Physically at least, this kid looks ready to suit up in college tomorrow, if not the NBA. Would love to get this guy and sounds like we're doing everything we can, but betting we're going to have to beat some of the bluest bloods to do it!

Absolutely no inside info, but if I were staff I'd inquire if Aidan was interested in reclassifying to 2018. Physically he looks ready and his skills are impressive and seem to be improving quickly. 17 years old currently and a good student. He'd be a great big to add to '18 class and would learn more with a year under PE than in High School. This kid may be NBA bound. Very projectible.

A lot of times when an international kid moves to the USA they are put into a class behind. So he may be able to re class back into his original graduating group. And if the Hoyas could get him...
