I'm excited about LeBlanc, merely because he's a defender and apparently has a constant motor, something this team needs desperately. But what is his offensive game like, if any? Is he just a finisher/scavenger type player, or is there some game there? Mikal Bridges is a very good comparison for LeBlanc...

I like that Pat is going after athletic kids. No more plodders. Sick of playing below the rim.

I like that Pat is going after athletic kids. No more plodders. Sick of playing below the rim. Exactly. I'm sure if we end up with a bunch of athletic but can't dribble or shoot guys, I will feel the opposite, but the defensive ceiling of the current team -- and the last couple of years -- has been so limiting, it's frustrating. If you want to win a national title, you need athleticism *and* skill. But if you just want to be good again, you can have a highly athletic team with one or two skilled guys and be really, really good. Not everyone needs to be athletic. But enough that you can actually defend, rebound, etc., with the right scheme. Once we re-establish our defensive roots, we can work on offense.

Is Josh available in January? We could use the defense.

Ugh.... 😿 On Sunday, two days before Madison Prep’s 80-58 rout of Crescent City Christian on Tuesday, Chargers’ star player Josh Leblanc broke his foot at practice, thrusting Madison Prep into its first game without its four-year starter against the Pioneers. www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/sports/high_schools/article_f8edea74-dfaf-11e7-a3f0-0b68470250b3.html“It’s our first time playing without Josh,” MPA coach Jeffery Jones said of the Georgetown commitment. “So we kind of said we’re going to have to really come together. Today was an example of that. All the kids pulled for each other.” In a battle of reigning champions, the Chargers secured a 22-point win against the Pioneers from Metairie in a thorough and systematically precise process.

Disappointed for Josh in his senior year.

What a bummer. I have little doubt the injury will heal and he'll be a big part of our future.
But a broken foot sounds like he may miss a significant part (if not the rest) of his final HS year, and the state & national accolades that would have come with a successful season.
For his sake, I hope that's not the case.

Disappointed for Josh...but he'll bounce back...probably need more info/clarity on his "broken foot" as to its severity and prognosis/timetable for recovery...hoping for the best.

I think he's saying we're gonna be the GU of the 80s (and Big Pat) again. With his help, of course.

I'm fine with Josh, but are we handing the keys to him? Blair looks more like a combo guard, as does Mosely. The question for the ages remains--who is the 30 min. per game PG next year?
EDIT: Ignore, wrong thread.

I hope he heals well. James Worthy broke his foot twice before joining the Lakers and had an outstanding career. He can come back strong.
