Congrats to all involved! I said last night to Elvado that LeBlanc seemed like a HOYA. Now he is one. I can see him being a ferocious trapping, full court pressing storm trooper.....

can anyone compare how he plays to any nba players? Trying to get a grasp on what to expect from what his game looks like.

can anyone compare how he plays to any nba players? Trying to get a grasp on what to expect from what his game looks like. I see some Kawhi Leonard in him. No not the 6 year NBA product but the Kawhi that was coming out of Riverside California and heading to San Diego St. Same size and build. Both have extremely long limbs/wingspan. Both were high motor bouncy prospects, outstanding defenders, and a beast on the glass with budding offensive games. Neither really need a play ran for them to be highly effective as they can get their own off the offensive glass, in transition or via defensive chaos they can cause leading to easy buckets for their teammates and themselves.

Good comp on high school Kawhi. Personality-wise also seems to be very low-key and focused on getting better (not on the fame part), same as Kawhi.

At the very least he w be similar to Kueth Duany in my opinion. Long and determined defender with occasional offense.

Shout out to ex Hoya Darrel Owens for his support as JL's Asst Coach...great work, DJ! Josh is a Hoya because of Owens. I'm glad he's here and I'm sure Pat played a part but Owens did all the heavy lifting in this one. This is a great signing.

"It was a combination of things," Leblanc said of his choice. "The relationship I built with the coaches and possibilities here are part of it. After I got here, it felt right and I decided to commit." LSU, Texas A&M and Arkansas were the other finalists for Leblanc, who averaged 14.8 points per game and 10 rebounds a game as a junior. He led the Chargers to a Class 2A title last spring and also earned LSWA Class 2A All-State and All-Metro honors. Leblanc joins the first recruiting class for Ewing, the former NBA and Georgetown star who was hired in the spring. Leblanc is listed as Louisiana’s No. 3 recruit for 2018. He plans to sign with the Hoyas during the NCAA’s early signing period next month. "Now that the recruiting part is over I've got to go get another (championship) ring," Leblanc said. "I can focus on that." www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/sports/high_schools/article_110eb860-b146-11e7-9afa-3fabe1944306.html

If we can become competitive in the Big East again, our profile will be pretty attractive to top recruits. But success on the court is, if course, a crucial component to bring in the too echelon kids.

Baton Rouge, LA (Future150) -- Friday night can be considered the first big win at Georgetown for head coach Patrick Ewing, as he landed a commitment from 2018 Madison Prep (LA) forward Josh LeBlanc. The versatile 6'7" combo forward and Future150 alumnus has been a name in recruiting circles since middle school, when he was pegged as a future high-major player by our staff. Over the first few years of his high school career, nagging injuries slowed down his progress, but the tools remained evident. Once healthy again this AAU season, he exploded with standout performances on the Under Armour Circuit with his Louisiana Elite program, as well as at NBA Top 100 Camp, showing his ability as an elite defensive player and improved offensive skills. Possessing a 7-foot wingspan and a an 8'9.5" standing reach, he has the measurables to become a standout at Georgetown, provided he continues to improve his offensive skills. future150.com/hs/basketball-news/future150family-josh-leblanc-commits-to-georgetown
