This year's team is back filled very nicely, and extremely experienced at all positions. It should/could be a very nice outlook. Tough in the goal, on the backline, in the middle and up front. Question becomes if Coach N. plays with two up front giving Chloe and Rachel latitude or three as he has in the past.

Actually looking at the roster with class distribution a 4-4-2 looks all the more attractive. Up front the forwards have at least two years remaining, whereas we lose three middies and two defenders. The 4-4-2 would allow more experience to players back filling those positions for 2018 without losing much offense as Rachel and Chloe can net it.

Fall practice opens in Germantown, Md......Team bonding and getting ready for home opener vs. WVU...Wow, 2 vs. 3 from last year....What a way to start the year. Go Hoyas.

Great ranking and much deserved. We graduate Thomas, Paul and Demascus and are otherwise untouched in the goal, at defense and in the midfield. The scoring punch needs to show, but I cannot imagine another team with as many returning impact players. I know WVU lost Buchanan, the best player in America last year, and are still ranked No. 1. So we are close, very close. We have a number of very good players up front. The goals lost may have been more a statistic due to the seniors ability to net it, rather than an ability of the other forwards being able to score. We shall see. Tough, tough schedule, but a roster up to it. Go Hoyas.

Congrats to Rachel. It all begins today at 4:00PM, Shaw Field. The Quinnipiac Bobcats come to town hoping to surprise our Hoyas. Last year they were 9-0 at home, but 2-7-1 on the road. They lost four of their top seven scorers off last years team.
After pounding each other hard in Germantown it is time to step up to season 2017's opener, albeit a friendly. Go Hoyas.

Good first friendly. Players and coaches have to be happy to beat on someone else other than each other. A 5-1 victory is a good start to what can become a very good season. Early on you can never tell if the score reflects the quality of our team or that of the opposition. But do remember, after finishing in the top 5 last year this team has a target on its back, and a win is a win. Next up, on the road to Maryland.

Friendly #2 on the road today at Maryland. Keep up the pace Hoyas. One week to the first season game with WVU. This will be a nice stepped up test.

Game played over two days with an interruption from lightning/weather. Everyone plays to get a feel for the entire team. G'town dominates on the ball play, but loses 0-1 on a slippery ball getting by our goalie. Set up for Game 1 of the current season against #1 WVU at Shaw Field on Friday. What a way to start. Last year it worked out well to begin our great season long run. Go Hoyas.
