Interesting player. He would be a great college 4 along side a big physical center like Cockburn.
Yet another reminder... we better clean up with '19 bigs. Pat's gotta get at least 2 major impact kids there.

phillysportsnetwork.com/2017/09/14/mo/LJ: How do you feel about Georgetown and Miami? Have they been keeping in contact with you? Who on those two programs has kept in contact with you? Eric: I like both of them, they’re both big time programs. Yes, from Miami I usually talk to Coach Fish, and from Georgetown I talk to Coach Waheed.

This is a guy I'm glad the staff has definitely kept an eye on and communication with. He visited the hilltop this summer but there wasn't too much pub about it. He's another intriguing prospect in the talented 2019 frontcourt class.

Dixon stressed that he’s still considering all the schools that are involved — he mentioned Rutgers, St. Joe’s, Villanova, Oklahoma State and Virginia as the schools in touch most often — and isn’t in any rush to end his recruitment. In the last few months, he and his parents have visited Pitt, Penn State, Georgetown, Virginia, Oklahoma State and the local schools, taking in games at ‘Nova, St. Joe’s, Rutgers and Seton Hall since the season has gotten underway. www.philly.com/philly/sports/high_school/pennsylvania/eric-dixon-abington-high-school-recruit-college-basketball-2017-20171127.html

What's with this Oklahoma St. fascination by all these kids?...I just don't get it, but on many east coast kids lists, they stick out like a sore thumb...I must be missing the attraction...

Thanks...but Dixon is a Philly kid who plays for WeR1 I believe...we've also been spending a good deal of time recruiting Team Loaded kids, which is good.

“It definitely feels good, we’ve been talking trash all week, but it’s all part of it,” said Dixon, a high-major recruit who recently added a Villanova offer to those from Temple, UConn, OK State, Georgetown and more. “I know who I am as a player, I know they they know who I am. I respect it, I play for it. Jut lock in and win the game.” www.cityofbasketballlove.com/news_article/show/878070

Villanova: “I’m a hometown kid and they could help turn my weaknesses into strengths. They could help me get better and play at the highest level.”
Virginia: “They could really use a scorer and I feel like I could be that guy for them. Obviously, they’re a great basketball team and that would be great to be a crucial scorer for a big-time basketball program.”
Xavier: “Another school that believes in my scoring ability. I could go there and be one of the school’s best players of all-time in terms of scoring.”
Nova is pushing the best narrative of the three..

I think Dixon's gonna be a very successful college player. Probably a little underrated b/c of his measurables, but each time I see him he reminds me of a stubby Greg Monroe. Very fluid, polished offensive game inside 18 feet.
If he plays at Nova w/ those 3 guard sets, he's gonna be a nightmare.

If we're not one of the 3 schools working hardest at this point, I hope we are applying that effort (and expecting results) with someone as good or better...several months ago I thought we had a very good shot with Dixon...

I don't see how it's any school other than Nova...

I'm going to say it early...Great get for Villanova. Perfect fit for their system, style of play and development. Will be a stud for them...
