The 2019 power forward out of Abington HS and WeR1 was among USA Basketball’s final cuts, but at least he managed to learn something during the process. “Not staying up all night, eating healthier, and stretching,” Dixon said. “I never stretched before that. You stretch for a couple of days in a row, you’ll keep doing it, believe me. “I got a lot better there. Not even on the court, but from a mental standpoint, I learned a lot about the game. I need to keep myself loose, stretch and take care of myself. Those things are important.” With the USA Basketball experience behind him, Dixon is here for UA All-American off of a dominant performance at UAA Finals, in which WER1 lost in the 16U final. Dixon’s list of suitors is beginning to grow. He has nine offers, including Georgetown, Rutgers, Penn State. Schools showing interest of late include Iowa, Maryland, Wake Forest, Miami and Villanova. www.cityofbasketballlove.com/news_article/show/815765?referrer_id=

Eric Dixon, Class of 2019, WeR1 -- Continuing on from a very good morning session, the 6-foot-8 Dixon finished with a double-double as he had 12 points and 10 rebounds on Thursday night. Although Dixon isn't getting a lot of touches on the offensive end, he's made up for it by attacking the glass and making plays for himself whenever he can. Dixon has been one of the camp's most productive players uaa.io/news/2017/7/20/AMER_0720172140.aspx

I'd take either him or Stewart, but he's higher on my board personally... I don't care what the rankings say...

He reminds me a lot of Bonzie Colson! But Stewart is a MAN-CHILD, with high level athleticism and a budding skill set. Dixon doesn't have any where near the upside of Stewart! Dixon has had a great summer and has dominated but he's playing on the WeR1 16U team. Stewart has been one of the better interior players on the 17U EYBL circuit.

It's not that serious, I like both. Dixon is an elite bucket getter. Skills already developed and continuing to do so... Opinions can change month to month, and week to week as kids develop. Today I'm feeling E.D.

I salivate profusely at the idea of a Stewart/Kofi Frontcourt for the Hoyas.

Agree with you that Dixon is an Elite bucket getter and (as of today) arguably the most offensively polished "BIG or interior player" in the 19 class. He's array of offensive moves in the post and on the perimeter is highly impressive and he plays with a good motor. Opinions do change monthly and these prospects abilities develop at a rapid rate at this early stage, so things can change. But Stewart is just a freak physically and athletically and is developing offensively. His physical gifts probably can't be matched by Dixon.

On the 16U Circuit, MVP honors went to 2019 WER1 forward Eric Dixon, while 2019 New Heights forward Precious Achiuwa was named Defensive Player of the Year. On the 15U circuit, 2020 B.Maze Elite guard Jaden Springer was named MVP while 2020 Team Thrill forward Atwood Newton was named Defensive Player of the Year. d1vision.com/jahvon-quinerly-mvp-uaa/

He stated in an article in June that he was going to visit Georgetown in August after summer ball was over. Hopefully he visit the staff in the coming days.
