I think I am very much in the minority here but i prefer Hinton to Johnson. Of course would take either or both but he has a more polished offensive game and the size is very intriguing at that position. I don't know if you're in the minority, but you are not alone in that sentiment. I also like Hinton over Johnson in a either or scenario. Hinton is the better prepared player day 1 because of size, length and shooting abilities as well as being more versatile.

I don't have a preference because I don't know eithers game but I can see that X is a bulldog and he's local. I want both but if they are close and we can only have 1, I want "the X man"......

"Bishop O’Connell’s Xavier Johnson has come a long way in the last 12 months. The Team Takeover product is considered one of the most dynamic playmakers in the country, and this is not an accident. Ask any of his coaches, and they all will mention his incredibly strong work ethic.
Johnson earned the starting lead guard role at The Ei8ht, and played an integral role in his team’s run to the championship. Whether it was harassing top ranked PG Darius Garland, or using his explosiveness to push the ball up the and create for others, Johnson was up to any task. As he’s demonstrated before, Johnson was simply impossible to keep out of the lane, and very crafty when finishing around the basket.
“I am a point guard that has a lot of winning attributes. I play hard. Play good defense. I can score and facilitate.”
High Major Division One coaches have taken notice of Johnson’s ability. Josh Pastner, Greg McDermott, and Patrick Ewing are a few of the faces regularly seen at his games. South Florida, and UMass have also recently offered.
In the much anticipated rematch with Oakland Soldiers, Johnson came out very aggressive. He was one of four players on his team in double figures with 16 points, and also dished out 7 assists. Johnson played solid defense, and played a significant role on both ends of the floor.
This time last summer, Johnson held just two offers, from Manhattan and Towson. He’s seen his recruitment grow exponentially in recent months, and has solidified himself as a high major point guard, and one of the best in the country. With a decision looming, don’t be surprised to see Johnson to make an immediate impact wherever he goes."

Do not believe that is accurate.... If that's a tweet from last week it was based on a misinterpretation of one of his (Xavier) by a Nebraska reporter...

Gonna be an interesting and anxious Fall waiting on all these young men who have the Hoyas on their final list. Hopefully one commitment will open the gates.

We are the only school not getting an official visit. "will opt out of taking an official to Georgetown because of how close it is to his home in Fort Belvoir, Virginia."

Johnson has set official visits to five of the six schools, and will opt out of taking an official to Georgetown because of how close it is to his home in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The unofficial visit date to Georgetown has yet to be determined. Below are the dates he plans to officially visit the other five schools. September 1-3: Washington September 8-10: Creighton September 16-18: Nebraska September 22-24: Georgia Tech September 29-October 1: South Florida www.prephoops.com/2017/08/xavier-johnson-down-to-six/

You wanna set the table. You have no idea if he'll make it to October before popping a decision. Being the fact that Johnson is local and his visits are unofficial you could try and get both the first and the last.

Agree....prefer last, and MM would be ideal...have to stay very strong with him throughout, continue to let him know how much he's wanted/needed... he's a warrior, just like his future coach was...

Right- the time is NOW for the Hoyas to push for him. Chances will decrease once he starts the visits.
