Agree that the highlight videos are underwhelming.

I'd be surprised if Villanova hasn't reached out to him by now. Especially with Divincezo reportedly testing and playing well at NBA combine....

Looks like a good player, and I would definitely reach out, but we weren’t in his top 6 before and with no restrictions I’m sure he will be in hot demand.

I’m a little underimpressed after watching the summer AAU video and considering he was only a 4th team All Met player. Perhaps a stretch to think he could contribute in his first two seasons. He was 4th team All Met because he was hurt his senior year. He was better his junior year, when Sidwell's best player got hurt, and he stepped in off the bench to lead them to a conference title and a top 10 post ranking. I didn't watch the video but he blew up last summer on DC Premier and was a huge draw for coaches, so I'd be surprised if it was underwhelming.

Nothing against Greg but I wonder if Ewing regrets the Malinowski signing now...? At the time I am sure it made sense but I always felt that every year there is a dozen of players like him om the transfer wire... Why? He could be a steal... the sharpshooter we've been looking for... he hustles, penetrates and plays defense (not a one-trick pony) like we haven't seen recently in a Hoya uniform... has a year to watch and practice... will be an older, experienced player in a young team... we need to increase our 3FGA by a lot and our best shooter left early...

At the time I made the comment the question was if we could take 1 between Osun and Bey who would you take and in that scenario I would have rathered two 4 year players than 1 year of Greg. That has nothing to do w/Greg and his abilities but just what is better for the future of Hoya basketball and I still stand by that statement. Also I don't want to make this thread about Greg and I obviously hope he succeeds but I don't think its far fetched to say there is numerous players every year on the transfer wire that could avg 8 points at w&m and hustles and penetrates. Lets not act like thats a diamond in the rough. Also it will be interesting to see how many minutes he actually gets. Hes not starting I am assuming. We have McClung and Blair capable at the 2. We have Pickett and LeBlanc able to play the 3 and although he has been disappointing Kaleb is still getting minutes at the 2/3 whether good or bad.

You know what's great about Greg? If his time doesn't work out he won't be around long enough for us to care or suck up a scholarship. Can the same be said about Bey if he turns out to be underwhelming? In that scenario all people could hope best for would be a transfer.

I would hope there is something great about Greg other than his short tenure.

Lets not act like thats a diamond in the rough. Well, with a few exceptions, GU hasn't had that kind of player in recent years. Think about our roster. Who is a solid, all-around player? How about this past year? Marcus gets close, but his defense left something to be desired. If we want to join the top of the BE, we need to steer clear of one-dimensional Beta players. Greg is not one of them. Also it will be interesting to see how many minutes he actually gets. Hes not starting I am assuming. We have McClung and Blair capable at the 2. Yes, pt is the question, and the roster is not finalized. But, back to Bey...

Fair enough and I have seen at most 10-15 mins of Greg actually play so I am in no place to judge what he can or cant do for this team. If he's shooting 40% from 3 next year I will be thrilled.

Be really quiet with this kid. Wonder if he'll visit Georgetown or Maryland soon .

Between him and this other grad transfer (big guy), I would love to add one more final piece to this recruiting class.
