Best of luck to Mac. Glad we didn't get him I am like a hungry dog waiting for the offseason to review all of the crazy takes in this thread. The level of backpedaling that will go on is going to be amazing.

I actually think the kid can play. In two years I can see him being a double digit scorer. I was off a year

WIth all our other serious pg options off the board, I hope we push for this kid this time around. His game doesn’t blow me away by any stretch but I see the potential for a respectable college point guard in him. I’d say he turned out respectable!

Robert Pack is the best comparison. More like Joey Brown or Matt Causey I'm not sure PoD could have been more wrong. Thankfully. Hoyas4Ever gets the award for first to really be pro-Mac, from what I see. Blueandgray, too. Kudos!

What’s crazy is that Mac’s commitment was on page 8 of this thread and we’ve been talking about him for 97 pages since lol. The kid has been a spark plug for this program on and off the court.

Only thing I'd add to MCI's great post is that Mac scoring 38ppg in high school (32 minute games) is the equivalent of scoring 47.5ppg in college (40 minute games) and 57ppg in the pros (48 minute games). The volume of points scored by Mac was outrageously high. Not that beating Iverson's single season Virginia scoring record doesn't say enough. Mac will produce at Georgetown. Just needs to learn initially to play smart and not go for too much. He's had a lot of people saying he's great with all the dunks and flash. The dunks and flash are nice in college, but very secondary to making the right play most of the time. Chris Paul never dunks. Jalen Brunson almost always makes the right play. I’ll take my take again today.

Lol...definitely not Matt Causey. Matt Causey was not the player as advertised--he had three knee surgeries before he got to college and his wrist was messed up early in the season. There's also the feeling that the Causeys simply wanted to be closer to home. Not only did Matt transfer from Georgetown to play at a NAIA school outside of Atlanta, his brother Mark transferred from Duke for the same reason. Go figure. Both Matt and Mark still live in the Atlanta area.

Not his best game last night. But hope he lights it up the next couple of weeks.
