Amazing. The kid shoots NBA threes effortlessly, as a sophomore.

Another member of the initial Rivals Class of 2021 Rankings, Trevor Keels isn’t going to wow with sexy play, but when it comes to making the right basketball play, there is no one better for the job than the Team Takeover product. With a full season under his belt as a starter for the one of the more respected high school programs nationally (Paul VI Catholic High), Keels can be best described as sturdy. What position he will ultimately play I don't know, but what I do know is just how versatile, smart and efficient he is. He repeatedly made the right pass out of the dribble-drive and took care of the rock whenever pressure was applied. Keels should make an impact at a high-major program right from the get-go, and wherever he does land, the program will be sure to welcome a box-score filler with the four-star prospect. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/usa-basketball-evans-saturday-top-performersEvans: What to do with Trevor Keels. Many will not be too impressed by Keels at first glance because he is not a high-flying athlete or quick-twitch playmaker. But look further and what you have is a super-polished, skilled and intellectual wing who can play all across the floor. Keels is also younger for his grade level and has a skill set that should translate well to the college game. He has already put together a strong resume on the travel and high school circuits, one that is only enhanced by his ability to shut down the best scoring weapon opposing him. He may not have the athleticism of some of his peers, but what he can do on both ends of the court makes up for any athletic deficiencies. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/rivals-roundtable-as-updated-2021-rankings-are-unveiled

Evans: Quincy Allen was my sleeper candidate heading into the Hoophall Classic last month. And, boy, did he break out. The now 6-foot-6 swingman is a more-than-capable secondary ball-handler who can run the high-ball screen and defend different spots on the perimeter. Allen is also an above-average shooter. However, did we jump the gun and shoot Allen up too far in the rankings? I don’t think so, and that is why we he is found in the top 25. He as has all of the attributes of a heavily recruited and coveted prospect moving forward. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/rivals-roundtable-as-updated-2021-rankings-are-unveiled

ATLANTA -- Sophomore guard Chance Moore had his coming out party on the opening day of the Holiday Hoopsgiving. Heading into the event, Moore, a 6-foot-5 guard prospect out of Atlanta (Ga.) Holy Innocents, didn’t have a national profile, but if his 30-point performance on Friday was any indication, that’s soon to change. Moore already has a scholarship offer from Rutgers and after his game Friday, Georgia officially offered him a scholarship as well. Moore also cited interest from Georgetown and Xavier. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Holiday-Hoopsgiving-Sophomore-guard-Chance-Moore-breaks-out-125203982/Corey Evans @coreyevans_10 Georgetown just offered four-star sophomore guard Chance Moore McDonald: I have watched Chance Moore four times this year. I went and watched his first game this season before he blew up at Hoopsgiving in Atlanta. I have zero questions about his talent level, because he's an effortless bucket-getter with size and some nice explosive athleticism. I do, however, question his motor and how much "dog" he has in him. If I thought he was tougher I would pound the table for him to be 10 spots or so higher. I'm really curious to see how his development plays out over the next few years. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/rivals-roundtable-as-updated-2021-rankings-are-unveiled

But, after losing four-star senior Anthony Harris and five-star junior Jeremy Roach to season-ending injuries, expectations were tempered for Fairfax (Va.) Paul VI. Class of 2021 guard Trevor Keels said not on his watch and has proceeded to turn in as impressive a season as any sophomore in America. Pushing 6-foot-5, Keels is tough, he scores, he defends and he has a knack for stepping up and playing his best at the biggest moments. Currently ranked No. 32 nationally, he’s put together a campaign worthy of Player of the Year honors in the WCAC and while I already held him in high regard as a prospect, I’m really looking forward to seeing how high he can ascend. Yes, the excellent staff at Paul VI led by Glen Farello has helped and there’s no doubt the emergence of freshman Dug McDaniel as a big-time point guard has been key. But, Paul VI is 15-2 in the WCAC and 20-6 overall in large part because of Keels putting up a reliable 20-plus per night. Very young for his class, Keels -- who reminds me a lot of Malcolm Brogdon because of his power/skill game-- won’t turn 16 until late August and already holds offers from South Carolina, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest. It’s only a matter of time before more jump onboard and there just can’t be many sophomores who have produced at a higher level against better competition than Keels. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/three-point-play-uncommitted-five-stars-illinois-trevor-keels
