But the questions remain....can he pass, shoot and dribble like the modern icons of big men that are found at Villanova? My question is why does he feel he needs to get looks from UK, Duke & UNC? It'd have been nice to hear him say no to the question any other offers you're looking for.. Vanity?

Vanity? Yeah, to some extent. But it's also like you aren't completely validated by the media or your peers unless you get offers from those schools.

Definitely has something to do with it plus he believes those schools will give him the best chance to reach the league.. If he’s waiting for those types of offers, it’s gonna be awhile before he decides..

Those schools may give him a quicker or clearer shot at the league. But nobody has ever been as qualified to teach and coach a big man than Pat. It’s that simple.

These young recruits know who the "blue blood" programs are and I am sure they would love to be able to tell their family and friends that they were recruited, and possibly offered, by some of these programs. To some degree it validates all the hard work these kids put in as they develop their games. It does not mean that is the place they all want to attend, but it lets them know they are considered a big time player.

If he’s waiting for those types of offers, it’s gonna be awhile before he decides.. Or get a better job in the case of a regular student. I don't think it's anything unusual. I agree that odds are his recruitment isn't going to end anytime soon. Where he can get on the floor early will probably be a priority if he's smart. It's always a matter of fit, so even though those schools might call, he might not be option A or B. They might get other kids, or he might get tired of waiting. So many variables unless a kid is deciding this week hard to predict what happens.

Just starting to scratch the surface of what Kofi Cockburn can become. Probably the most physically dominant BIG in the 19 class...

Impressive highlights and an impressive athlete. He looks to be a man playing against boys in these games. that is not really a knock on the kids on the other teams, he jus just a very mature physical athlete. I think he becomes quicker and more explosive once he gets into a major D1 conditioning program. He would be a step in the right direction if they are trying to bring back Hoya Paranoia!!!!

Cockburn added that Illinois and Georgetown have made pushes to line up a campus visit with him this summer....

Kofi is an impressive physical specimen.
Must say, however, that the Renaissance point guard, Jalen Lecque, is going to make a high level program extremely proud. That guy is IMPRESSIVE. Complete game and skill set.
