Tony, indeed will work his way up. He'll one of the top point guard coaches in the country soon. I think.

Come down off Coy Mountain if you're going to post about him and just say what the deal is.

Seems like a long-term project. I don't expect near-term contribution. Needs to be recruited over for post-Govan era.

He was late to the game of basketball. He won't be more then a warm body outside of a game or two this year but he has potential and will keep developing under Pat (and Zo and Dikembe). He can move well at his size, just needs to get footwork and basketball IQ down and he will be fine. I agree that you need to stop with these clickbait teasers B&G, the rest of your profession is rubbing off on you!

The Con: Definitely a project, but he develops better at a school where he is not #2 or #3 in line behind Govan, maybe Govan and Mourning next year, plus any other studs who come flocking to Pat. He can get buckets of PT at a lot of schools - we just cannot offer him the minutes he needs in his current state of development. If he sees it that way, who is to argue. The Pro: PAAAAAAATRICCCCCK EWWWWWWWINGGG! Kid will get the best developmental program a big man can get here and, short of the in game experience, has the best opportunity to become a stud by year 3-ish.

So if the implication is that Sodom is transferring, probably not a great look for the program. Why recruit the kid, who you know is a project, only to not be able to convince him to stay and learn from one of the greatest centers of all time? Maybe things were promised to Sodom when he was recruited that are not coming to fruition? On the surface, he'd be pretty stupid to leave. Not only because he can learn from Ewing, but he's got a clear path to playing time, both this year and moving forward - particularly with Govan likely going pro after this season.
I'd have a really difficult time understanding a transfer this early in the kid's career...all that said, it's just speculation at this point, correct?

Let's back off the speculation until something more definitive is out there. Thanks.

I feel like Pat had to scramble to fill the '17 class. '18 is more deliberate.

There was a play against Cuse where he jumped to block a shot that was taken from the elbow while standing in the circle. I'm just saying he's got a lot of basketball development to do to get up to speed. But he can run the floor really well for his size.

If you throw the ball up the rim when he's close he will more than likely dunk on you. Makes a difference when you have guards with high iq's to know how to get Sodom 7'3" the ball.

Can't learn on the bench especially playing cupcake teams? Right? imo

Let's back off the speculation until something more definitive is out there. Thanks. Wondered why all of sudden Sodom posts an old pic (10/16) of him in a New Mexico Lobos uni (Twitter). I didn't see that photo there before. Hmmmmmmm.

If we lose Govan to the pros and Sodom leaves, we have big shoes to fill. 🙃
