Here is the answer Mourning is here unless he or the Athletic Department state otherwise. Why this is still being discussed makes no sense. He hasn't spoken on this topic and the Athletic Department released the roster a little after Ewing was hired. www.guhoyas.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/gu-m-baskbl-mtt.html

I think it's fair to say that the guhoyas.com website may be as up to date as the Kenner League website. I'm hoping Trey is returning, but it is an open question.

Actually until he or the Athletic Dept. states otherwise, it isn't[/b. If that's the standard, everyone is open to debate. Does everyone have to make an announcement they are returning even after they never made an announcement about their intentions of leaving?
Sorry for cluttering this thread and please move if possible. This is just a tired topic. Thanks

We've since seen Mourning at Ewing's press conference and practicing by himself after Ewing was hired.

If so, point it out to me. The most recent announcement in regards to the roster was released by the official Georgetown site, which I posted earlier. Unless you can find a quote other than from an anonymous source, Put it to bed.

Good news. Like others on this board, while Trey isn't his dad, it has always seemed to me he deserved more than "last 30 seconds of 30 point blow out" minutes.
If the Big Man U pipeline is going to start up again, a great start would be for Ewing and Orr to put their stamp on Mourning, Govan and Derrickson (as well as Sodom and Walker)---if those guys take a big leap this year, one would have to think that more high school bigs with NBA aspirations would want to sign up for an apprenticeship with one of the best centers in NCAA/NBA history.

Good to have confirmation of what most of us believed (well, at least confirmation at the same level as the initial report/rumor that he was considering leaving). Trey is clearly a kid who works hard, supports his teammates on the bench, and has some ability that he can use to contribute. And it is absolutely fitting that he end his career in the blue and grey.

Mourning staying is very GOOD news. This year is very important in that once kids out there see the style of play (which is indicated as more up tempo (pro style) they will be much more receptive to signing on. If we bring the excitement and in your face play; we will definitely have kids interested. And if the team bring it then we the fans will have our part to bring it and well. Make this in line with one of the top places to be.

Don't forget that Muresan is listed as 6-9. He's slim but he has a pedigree too and can be developed. I like the trend in the sense that while we have not landed the high profile possibilities, we continue to push. The players we have will have to over-achieve versus the under achieving spectacle we've endured for several years. I'm believing in Patrick and the coaches he's brought on board (even though most people, including me, don't know who's included on the full staff). I sure would like to learn that soon. Just because.

Trey can PLAY. When the "gloves" are off this young man will show what he is made of. And rest assured we have been wearing "gloves".

He's had some good games already, even in tournaments. I hope he keeps getting better.

No, actually, I have said it many times. Let's let these kids just play more, take some risks. I think with the hodgepodge roster and low expectations (10th in Big East!), Coach Ewing would be well advised to rely on upperclassmen for stability, discipline and effort. Hopefully the flashes Trey has shown over the past three seasons -- and his good natured willingness to sit on the bench -- will translate into savvy upperclassman play ala Henry Sims.
