He’s the type of player we are missing.

Interestingly, Akron played great team defense this year, ranking 21st in the nation on KenPom. If he can defend the wing and stroke the 3, we have a spot for him.

Yeah lets hope the kid doesn't want to go home and play for a year.....he's a Houston kid and Sampson has Houston looking real good....but a grad degree from GTown would be an excellent selling point....

I understand Rodney Pryors dont just grow from trees, but man if we can find a high impact wing-scorer like that as a grad-transfer I would feel great going into next season. As our team looks right now I feel like we need some veteran leadership outside of just Mosely, and we don't have any consistent scoring threats if our freshman undergo a sophomore slump.

A Rodney Pryor type talent that doesn't have a negative impact on locker room chemistry would be welcomed. I don't think we need a locker room preacher/leader like Rodney--this is James Akinjo's team going forward. We do need someone (some-2?) who can consistently score from the perimeter--frosh, JUCO, Euro, grad transfer or otherwise.

The Italian shooter is intriguing. We need a player that can stroke it.

Yeah, Malinowski is/was the right idea. Just someone a little more consistent, better on the defensive side of the ball, and who can go 2-5 from 3 regularly.

We do need someone (some-2?) who can consistently score from the perimeter--frosh, JUCO, Euro, grad transfer or otherwise. That leader-less group of players needed multiple locker room preachers/leaders. Rodney tried to motivate, but what a group that was. Except for Marcus and LJ, who were practically mute, we had Campbell, Agau, Cameron, Hayes, 1st yr Mulmore, Kaleb, Govan and fr. Mosely. Certainly a group that needed leaders/motivators/preachers, although some in that group would/will never be moved. Like the other poster said, next year it’s still a very young core. I’ll take a Rodney, plus that someone you mentioned.

Prediction #1 - There will be no "sophomore slump" for our 3 All Big East Rookie studs. Prediction #2 - Those three will be the unquestioned leaders of the team. Prediction #3 - Each will take a significant step up in performance, as is often the case from Frosh to Soph
That said, we still need two new cats who can contribute at the 2 and 3 spots. Prediction #4 - Coach will get them Prediction #5 - Hoyas return to the NCAA tournament next season

He becomes the consistent wing shooter we are missing this season.
