Yeah, we may need to fold the program.😉 Step back from the ledge my friend. Too funny. After we go to the Dome and "bust their A$$", the East Coast recruits will recognize and start signing up. Forget those dudes that want to sign up with Duke, the college version of GSW. We want guys who want us. I can't blame the staff because they can't close every deal. Coach doesn't want to fill space with just anyone, he wants HIS players. After we shock the talking heads with some wins, they will come. Agree with the general premise we need to start beating some high profile teams to attract interest from recruits, but this better start happening sooner rather than later. Whatever Ewing is selling in the parents' living room and on visits won't mean much if we can't prove we can beat the teams we're recruiting against on the court.

WASHINGTON, DC – The recruiting process and national acclaim started much earlier for Earl Timberlake compared to others in his 2020 class. Entering his junior season, things have only picked up further for the DeMatha Catholic product as his stock has gone national. A 6-foot-5 lefty wing that can play three positions and on both sides of the floor, Timberlake has not failed to succeed on the high school and travel circuits, all while remaining a continued participant within select USA Basketball training camps. Having already taken a fall official visit to Providence, Timberlake told Rivals.com that Clemson, Maryland, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, South Carolina and WVU were among the group that has kept in close contact with him. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/top-35-junior-earl-timberlake-remains-a-wanted-man

This is interesting, I didn’t think Gtown had made much traction with Timberlake but it can’t hurt to keep knocking on the door...

Timberlake should probably be our number 1 target for 2020. He seems open to Georgetown. I LOVE getting WCAC guys. He is a talented wing who could become a big time player if he sharpens up his outside shot. Seems like a Big East type of player who I don't want to see on the other side of the court in the next few years.

They seem to similar is size and position....we are losing wings and right now we don't have any coming in for replacements....I'm also not convinced Mac plays his Jr year....

I think they can play together. From what I've heard, Timberlake is more of a 2/3 wing with handles vs Williams being more of a 3/4 with more forward-like skills.

Absolutely would take both with no hesitation. We need multiple wings and both players are big time. Can't have too many skilled players on the wing that can score, rebound and defend multiple positions.

In the 2020 class, Providence has already hosted top-35 junior Earl Timberlake for an official visit; he is one of their top targets. As is Josh Hall, a three-star prospect from North Carolina that actually reclassified last month from the 2019 class and into the 2020 ranks so there is always a chance that he could jump back this summer. Keep an eye on DeMarr Langford, the younger brother of sophomore guard Makai Ashton-Langford, CJ Wilcher, AJ Hoggard and Chuck Harris. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/wednesday-leftovers-reclassification-harlond-beverly-uconn

He is the guy in the 2020 class I want to come here the most. You like Josh, he is a Swiss Army type Player too. You dont have to run plays for him. I compare his game to Iguodala, but not as good a passer YET.

I assumed he was a strong Providence lean because his brother goes there, but it sounds like he is open to other opportunities. He will end up being a better college player than his brother at Providence is now.

If he signs on, he'll immediately be the Hoya with my favorite name. Just sounds old school and bad-ass.

Posting this in large part to just bump to the top so folks who care know that Dematha just got beat by O'Connell tonight 66-63 (O'Connell had lost 5 of last 6). Earl had an OK game/had never seen him before, but bricked three straight 3 attempts to tie as time ran out, each uglier than the one before. Of course, that was after he had a really nice trap/steal to get the ball back, and a beautiful block on a break-away just before that, so can't be too critical. Started the game with two beautiful 3s and got to the line A LOT (with a high percentage made/looks very smooth at the line). Jumper a little shakey after the start, and wanted to jack it up too soon/too deep fairly often (sound familiar?) Overall impression of him as a player is that he needs maturity all around, and to work on some consistency on his release, but clearly has height/build/stroke/hops to be a very high level player. If he were already a senior I'd worry, but as a junior I think all the gaps in the game (especially judgment and effort) will come.
