Really going to be hard to sell the whole family thing when the son of one of our most famous players wants out too.

9 players left assuming Peak doesn't try to go pro. Hoping no future transfers but it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibilities to see another person who was out of the rotation feeling a need to pursue greener pastures. Hard to believe the Peak, Copeland, White, Campbell & Mourning class is down to two.

Something must have been terribly wrong for Trey not being an integral part of this team. Leaves one scratching his head.

If true, sorry to see him go; Good luck young man.
Given the inconsistencies of our bigs (over the last few years) this young man should have been given time on the court.
What little time he did get he displayed what we so often talked about what was lacking with our other bigs; movement, hustle, and just going after it (just go after a rebound, you might not get it but go after it).
St John's with a better conference record had no problem playing their slight of frame bigs and had better close-outs in the lane situations than we did.
His skill set lends itself better to today's game than other bigs in our lineup.
With the proper time he just may see time on the big court one day.

Disappointing on its face, without knowing the real reasons.
As a player without real professional prospects, I would have hoped he would remain in the program to get his degree like Riyan Williams, but can't blame the kid if he wants to play and will have that opportunity elsewhere.
Good luck Trey!

From an optics point of view, it's definitely not good. From the perspective of on-the-court performance it's largely irrelevant.

Best of luck to the young man. While he wasn't able to crack into the regular rotation, he has definitely improved on the court through his time here. Add in that he is a great student and I always thought he'd be a solid 5 year player for us. Unfortunately, he did not feel comfortable here anymore and is leaving. I hope he can find a school for himself that is high academic as well as a team that he can earn minutes on. I expect him to be a good player at whatever school he ends up at and will earn minutes (especially if it is a mid-major).

Good luck to Trey. Seemed to be a great kid and always enthusiastic and supportive of his teammates, even though he never got much of an opportunity to play. Can never blame a kid for wanting the opportunity to play. He hung around for 3 years and you never heard anything negative from him or about him. I hope he finds a place that gives him a chance to compete.

The shame of it is that a new coach might be able to stem the tide of transfers.

I'm curious, b/c he didn't see that many minutes on the court, I understand that he shown some flashes, but that's about it.

The shame of it is that a new coach might be able to stem the tide of transfers. All those posters who worry about us turning into Depaul under a new coach don't have to worry about that scenario any more. It's the same either way now.

All we ever saw were flashes during games but based on what we saw in Kenner he definitely improved. Not to HM starter level but his game has grown in the past 3 years. For specifics: he's put on much needed muscle. His post game has improved. His passing has improved. His full court game has improved.

I believe there will be more transfers. Oh well. As long as the program can field at least 6 players on the roster they should be fine. 2-3 zone here we come.
