Should be a great tourney with a lot of interesting story lines. Teams fighting for an NCAA berth.
Wish we could be one of them.

I've never had this little interest in the BET ever. I usually take off days to watch it. I honestly couldn't care less at this point.

I've never wanted a brand new state of the art practice facility less.
That thing could be an anvil around this programs neck.

Can we decline the invite? Let's hang the big east tournament banner over the urinals!

Can we decline the invite? Let's hang the big east tournament banner over the urinals! It would only be right as most of the league used us as a urinal this season...

I spent today wondering if I should get tickets to the Big 10 tournament this week. I could use some entertainment. The Big East tournament? Eh, I'll watch us on tv until we are knocked out.

Today was the worst day for this program in 12+ years. Nowhere to go but up?

Today was the worst day for this program in 12+ years. Nowhere to go but up? And it might be worse if that "rumor" is true.

The worst thing about the Hoyas performance this year is that they have soured me on college bball watching. Usually I'm glued to the tube this time of year trying to scope out how other teams might fare against the Hoyas. But now, watching other, really talented teams just depresses me. Was watching a little of the Purdue-Northwestern game. At the half they put up first half stats. Each team had 4 turnovers. Really? We will put up that many alone in the first 10 minutes. I mean watching these other teams offenses makes you jealous. None of the forced passes to the center, desperate looks for a cutter, guards who can't shoot passing up wide open threes. Depressing.

Agree with this 100%. I have watched every Hoya game, but have otherwise watched almost no college basketball. It is too painful.

I've never had this little interest in the BET ever. I usually take off days to watch it. I honestly couldn't care less at this point. This. Unfortunately I totally understand the sentiment - and while it is nothing compared to most prior years, I confess I am still a little excited to get to NY. Beginning with the '88-'89 season, I have been to every Gtown game in the BET for 27 of the last 29 years and the last 22 straight - missing only 1993 and 1994. A good Gtown run makes it one of my favorite weeks of the year. My wife likes to tell the story of the one February (with two kids under the age of 5 at home) when I ended an argument regarding the upcoming schedule announcing that the BET was "non-negotiable." A good run is of course not happening this year, but it is still an opportunity to get together - even if briefly - with old friends over beer in a pretty cool city.

I've been saving hotel bonus points to offset costs to go to BET. By time I go, I will have 3-4 free nights. Maybe that's hopeful.
But I love BET and so not feeling it this year.

I'd say if you are a Nova fan use those points and then some. If you somehow would be going to root and represent this school you will be wasting valuable free nights only to be mocked in hotel lobbies. Bring some nondescript clothing if you do go.
