He is definitely making a big contribution in his role. He is an important member of the team. I am glad he found how he can be extremely valuable.

He seems to have accepted and embraced his role and shows up every night now with energy and effort. He works so hard and ends up keeping rebounds alive and running the floor hard which leads to him getting easy baskets. He is a vital player as the Big East schedule rolls along. His experience, consistent effort and toughness help show the young guys what is needed to be a winning team

Kaleb gets down on the floor and takes on 4 Friars for a 50/50 ball. I can't think of a better metaphor for Kaleb the player. The man plays with max effort and does all of the dirty work. It doesn't come out in stats but Kaleb is part of why this team wins.

I disagree. While never publicly, I have killed Kaleb for 3.5 years for poor play and, in particular, trying to do too much (usually ending in a turnover). I cant remember when exactly the switch flipped, but I would say for at least the last half dozen BE games, he has been a huge + and made a number of important contributions. He now knows his role and is a very important part of the team and our recent improved play and success. I'm really happy for him that things have turned this way. No doubt the result of a lot of hard work on his part. The post you quoted was from a year ago I agree he has contributed this year. Ha! My bad.

Kaleb is a strong player who has been vital of late. I am so glad to see him having a nice senior year. I expect big things from Kaleb down the road off the court. He seems like an outstanding young man.

Kaleb needs to get back to practicing those FTs. Historically, he has gone:
18-19 11.6 mpg FT 63% 17-18 27.1 mpg FT 74% 16-17 10.7 mpg FT 51% 15-16 11.2 mpg FT 52%
Maybe it's the reduction of minutes from junior year, but he needs to be ready for FTs because he's getting fouled a lot.

What a plus it is a be able to bring in a guy who plays as hard as Kaleb, has the experience he has, and at any given time is one of the best athletes on the floor!

Really happy for Kaleb. He is a great representative for Georgetown University. Some players would have griped and complained about a reduced role in his senior year, but it sounds like he put his head down, worked hard and did whatever his team and coaches needed. He adds energy, experience and certain toughness whenever he is on the floor. Every good team needs a few guys like that. This years Hoyas team is lucky to have him.

Smart kid. He wants to play in an NCAA tourney, and is willing to do whatever he can to get there.

Big Congrats to Kaleb...
In the classroom, Johnson is a finance major in the McDonough School of Business. He has been named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team every year since coming to the Hilltop during the 2015-16 season.

I'd rather have had 4 years of Kaleb than one year of Keldon...well done!

If you believe that, then we should be playing in the Patriot League. Happy that Kaleb got his degree though.

Kaleb and Trey are two of the kids that make it easy to use the term student-athlete when talking about Hoya basketball. Wishing all the best for them in their future endeavors.
