Since we aren't really showing any interest, and have no idea if the new staff will, can we not update every development until we are? Doesn't make sense, he's not even listing Hoyas I hear you but I think its relevant considering how much folks on the board talk about the need to get local talent, the need to get guards plus the need for shooters.. Locke hits all three levels..

Maybe we should have a separate thread for "Local players we are not recruiting"😎

Maybe we should have a separate thread for "Local players we are not recruiting"😎 We've never had to do that before, why start now? Because typically general discussion about recruits is in their general recruiting class discussion...Not very many non-Hoya targets have their own thread. If picking out the DMV recruits are that important, then maybe there should be one place for DMV recruits.

Think YaBoy and Hometown Hoya are off base on this one. Locke visited Georgetown for a game this past season. He's a local kid, easily top 100, at a position of need. If we're not recruiting him (and I don't think there is evidence that we aren't), then we should be. Noah Locke - 4*. Baltimore, MD - Team Melo on the EYBL. Visited Georgetown this winter. Interest from all over.www.casualhoya.com/2017/4/17/15329464/georgetown-hoyas-basketball-recruiting-class-2017-2018-2019

He's not coming here. He's blown up this summer. Easily the best shooter in the area. I advocated the old staff getting on him early. No clue why they didn't but you could say that about a bunch of locals. It's a little late now I think.

He still won't be a staff target at this time which is your complaint about the posts in this thread.. Usually when I see specific player threads, I try to follow them closely because it is a Hoya target. I don't have time to follow all recruits, even all DC recruits, so I come to this Recruiting sub-forum for posts about Hoya targets. Personally, I'm fine with the general class threads but HoyaBoya seems to love pushing the DC guys (which I don't blame him for) which then clutters the recruiting board with guys we aren't even targeting (no matter if they came to a single game). If people think we need a separate place for DC recruits who have limited contact with the staff and no offers, then I agree a "DC Recruiting" thread could be helpful. Clearly this particular thread is too little too late.

No matter their feeling for the Hoyas. Who would turn down tickets to a Div 1 basketball game at Verizon? I agree we should be recruiting him but my point is that we don't need individual threads for every player who even gets mentioned with us. I'd rather save that for the guys who get an offer, then at that point, the mods can move all posts about that guy from the general class threads.

The fact that he visited for a game with the previous staff is pretty irrelevant. He doesn't have a relationship with the current staff that we know of and he can't commit to play ball for the previous one.
Seems like a pretty easy compromise to just throw Locke info in the general 2018 thread. We have kids that are updated in there that we know the staff is targeting that don't have threads like Leblanc, John Newman and Jimmy Nichols etc...

I took your initial posts to mean that you were opposed to any info on Locke being posted to the board since he wasn't currently a Hoya target..

He's blowing up with his 3pt shooting this summer. Him and Saddiq Bey from Sidwell are two locals who have really improved their stock recently. Would like to hear about us getting involved with either or both!

Always wondered way this player had his own thread on here. I have never ready where the Hoyas actually recruited/offered this player. There is no doubt he is a talented player, you can tell just from the list of schools that have offered him, but there must be something more to the reasons why Georgetown never seemed interested in a local kid like him. Best of luck to the kid and I hope he find a school where we can succeed and reach his goals.
