Trump parrots Putin's talking points on a myriad of issues so not surprising. Every once in a while though Donald's default mechanism to defend everything Putin/Rusia shocks me. Today would be one of those days
Americans were killed on that plane....

Today would be one of those days Americans were killed on that plane.... I want Clinton to be President over Trump - the one hesitation I have is her consistent history of warmongering. Due to this, I'm increasingly uncomfortable with Democrats' weird 2016 version of red-baiting. They can't mock anyone who doesn't agree with them as a wacky idiot conspiracy theorist and then demand that everyone make the same "Trump is a puppet of Russia" leaps that they do. It's just too directly hypocritical. They are so far apart on so many different important issues, I don't understand why they think that these accusations are the way to go.

It's just too directly hypocritical. They are so far apart on so many different important issues, I don't understand why they think that these accusations are the way to go. There's a lot of evidence that Russia is trying to interfere with our election but that's not the essence of my post... There were Americans killed on that plane. Literally everybody agrees that it was Russian backed rebels except Trump. I find that stance dubious and disrespectful to the families of those victims... TBH It upset me on a lot of levels so I posted about it. The fact that Trump will take the side of the Russians over our own intelligence officials is troubling. Especially when you consider there are dead Americans as a result of this assault. This is not the 1st or second time either.. I don't think anybody wants physical war with Russia or is pushing for that and vice versa. That doesn't mean we have to adopt all of their positions to avoid it though. Trumps ambivalence towards NATO would do more to create an international conflict than heightened campaign rhetoric. Those alliances where put in place as a method to prevent a WW3 type of conflict. He was for Brexit. That weakens the EU and is another alliance meant to deter Russian conflict. His stance on Syria is also troubling. So while I get your concern if Trump instituted his stated positions it would do more to create that scenario imo. I do believe regardless of who wins direct conflict with Russia is not likely to happen.

Just in case anyone here finds themselves actually agreeing with Donald, check out what the Dutch concluded in their own independent investigation: MH17 crash report: Dutch investigators confirm Buk missile hit planewww.theguardian.com/world/live/2015/oct/13/mh17-crash-report-ukraine-live-updatesRemember, Trump isn't denying the conclusions of the US DOD and intelligence agencies because of some other evidence of which he is aware, he just says it without any underlying basis whatsoever. Then consider some of the other flat out preposterous fallacies Trump has propogated - also without supplying any supporting evidence: Obama was born in Kenya Obama is a Muslim Ted Cruz' father was involved in the JFK assassination Justice Scalia was assassinated There is no drought in California Asbestos really is safe Climate Change is a hoax invented by the Chinese Thousands of Muslims were dancing in NJ on 9/11 Vaccines cause Autism Obama never attended Columbia University The CDC was lying about Ebola Voter Fraud is rampant in America

That's because Trump can say anything he wants regardless of whether there is any basis in fact for his proclamation, and some people will believe him because he says "believe me." P. T. Barnum would love this.
Unrelated to this, I was thrilled to see a Trump supporter at a rally yell "Jew SA" at the media. Yep, those are Trump's supporters. Daughter Rooter asked me if I thought Trump was an anti-Semite, and I told her no, and I have absolutely no reason to believe that he is, particularly with Ivanka having converted to Judaism, but this is the garbage that Trump has brought out of the refuse bins.
