Nothing is more sacred in America than the right to not have your chalk drawing changed.

Free speech and free thought are a thorny problem for those on the Left. Big fans until they don't agree. Then it is hate speech or intimidation.

Who are the "vandals" in this story again?
No one is hindering anyone's right to free speech in that so-called story. Good thing it didn't rain and wash away the original writings. Then we'd have a really problematic discussion.

Here's the problem: if the situation were reversed, there would be a great outcry about how free speech was in danger from the right. When the shoe is on the other foot, so to speak, it's suddenly not that big a deal.

When the shoe is on the other foot, so to speak, it's suddenly not that big a deal. I think it's a fair point to make that liberal views are more considered on campus (as the student body itself is more liberal), but I don't think chalk drawings are really where to make the stand.

When the shoe is on the other foot, so to speak, it's suddenly not that big a deal. Is this really the example you wish to choose to illustrate your view? Two kids write on the ground ... with chalk? First one expresses view, second one edits for alternate view? Is there really any conclusion we can draw? any one at all ... even about the two students? Let alone the student body? The admin? The university community at large?

I think we are fast approaching the point where everyone can have an individualized safe zone so as not to suffer any micro-aggression anywhere.
Then each delicate little flower can have his or her own square of ground free from intrusions of the real world or thoughts that might bruise them.
