Corey Evans @coreyevans_10 David McCormack's physical transformation is pretty impressive. Motor is through the roof. Elite big man prospect in 2018

Recruitment: UCLA, California, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Duke and many others are involved. His day: While his team was ousted in the semifinals, McCormack was nearly unguardable in the post as he showed off deaf touch over his left shoulder on the sweeping hook shot, threw down impressive dunks in traffic and looks to be in the best shape of his basketball life as he ran the floor and produced whenever the game sped up. Quote: “After the first two live periods, it is really hard to tell who is standing out. Things have really skyrocketed recently and hope it stays that way. I can’t really tell, for the most part.” Prediction: At this point in time, anything could happen with McCormack as he sits as a top three center in his class. Throw in the fact that 2018 boasts a dearth of quality big man and the value placed onto the Team Loaded VA product rises even further. Kansas and Duke sit in a good spot, along with a bevy of others. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/southern-jam-fest-mccormack-achiuwa-stand-tall

Georgetown: “Not too long ago, I was talking to Coach (Pat) Ewing about his plans in developing their big men. He wants me to get back onto campus to get a tour again.
“It is Big Man U; Georgetown has such a history with their big men. I just want to see if Coach Ewing is going to follow in JT2’s footsteps with his bigs or how he will do anything different.”

I think just the fact that PE talks to a big guy should be huge already. Ewing alone should make a big difference even if Coach K is in the mix. considering that most of Duke bigman recently were crappy. Just look at chase jeter who was a top 10 player who lost his game after duke and then Giles who looked like a bench player playing for coach K.
I think PE would be able to get one and done's as well because he knows how to develop a player and prepare them to get to the next level

Well done Mr. McCormack and your approach makes total sense.

Duke insider says Hoyas are still in really good shape here... They get really good info, the best imo, but I'm skeptical tbh...

Really? That's promising. Still don't think he's been on campus with the new regime yet, right?

New Georgetown Head Coach Patrick Ewing has wasted no time in showing McCormack that he is a priority for them. Ewing has already reached out to him. “They have, not too long ago I talked to Coach Ewing,” said McCormack. “We spoke on his plans as far as developing big men. I am looking to get back on their campus soon.” The class of 2018 center spoke on Georgetown’s history with talented big men. “It’s ‘Big Man U’, it’s definitely a great place for big men as Georgetown has a history with them, he said. “Most of them came through John Thompson’s time so I have to see if Coach Ewing is going to do the same thing or if this coaching staff is going to be different. I have to take a lot of things into consideration.” www.madehoops.com/news_article/show/795244?referrer_id=1272156

Virginia "insider" claims UVA feels pretty good about its chances... - There's been some credible chatter that Virginia may be in better position with David McCormack than is perceived. Often coaches are criticized for waiting too long to offer, but it can work to their benefit when done in an honest manner. I think that's been the case here. The motivation of receiving a Wahoo offer may have even helped fuel David's physique change. Now, none of this means he'll end up at Virginia. Our chances are as good as anyone's though, including Duke. virginia.247sports.com/Board/16/Contents/HoozGotNext-UVa-basketball-recruiting-notes-52969295

That guy claims UVA is in good position with everybody it's recruiting. Don't buy into anything he says. You never get anything of substance from him. I don't think we are in his top 5, just guessing.

If four-star center David McCormack is looking to grab some rest, he won't be getting it in the immediate future. Having just returned home from a trip to Italy with Adidas Basketball, McCormack showed up at NBPA Top 100 Camp with little rest and as soon as he's done with camp on Saturday, he'll be on the move again. McCormack told Rivals.com that he plans to take unofficial visits to Duke and N.C. State beginning with Father's Day. A few weeks ago, McCormack was on the campus of Virginia.
We'll have more on McCormack during the week but keep an eye on Kansas, Texas, Virginia Tech and perhaps Georgetown as some others who could make some noise with him.basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/nbpa-top-100-camp-kicks-off
