This sounds like a racist rant. Is that Eric Trump? I think he went to Georgetown and could find this board.

Under RACISM, OBAMA AND REALITY you concluded.. "Liberals desperately need blacks. If the Democratic Party lost just 30 percent of the black vote, it would mean the end of the liberal agenda. That means blacks must be kept in a perpetual state of grievance in order to keep them as a one-party people in a two-party system. When black Americans finally realize how much liberals have used them, I'm betting they will be the nation's most conservative people. Who else has been harmed as much by liberalism's vision and agenda?"SMH... hoyatalk2.proboards.com/thread/29748/happen-republican-party-after-election

This race has clearly demonstrated that, in its present state, the GOP desperately needs racists to win a national election. Without them, they have no shot. Some Republicans may be racists, but many racists are definitely Republicans. Combined with overt efforts to suppress the vote, the GOP clearly has narrowed its focus to purposely exclude voters like me, who tend to be progressive socially and somewhat conservative economically. As an African American, I have absolutely zero incentive to consider the Republican party.

I like your posts as thoughtful but keep your laser focus my friend. Did you think I was about to debate "hidden racism" in a random posters blog? That's reading a lot into a post that had 3 letters "SMH". My comment was the end, not the beginning of anything. That's why I linked him to the discussion of "Where Republicans go from here". Your "laser focus" comment is pretty odd imo. Definitely rubbing me the wrong way. No offense but maybe you should keep your focus on yourself, and I will do the same.

No intention to rub you the wrong way but thought you'd have a good point of view here.

There was nothing beyond that..

As an African American, I have absolutely zero incentive to consider the Republican party. Yet you can't dispute most of his main points. 1. Dems desperately need the black vote to continue to win. 2. If the Dems lost just 30% of the black vote, they'd be in big trouble. 3. Dems do use African Americans and provide almost nothing in return. 4. Liberals have done more to hurt the African American community (among others), than they have helped.

Those points aren't worthy of dispute. Blacks didn't end up in the Democratic Party by accident, if you want our vote, fight for it.
Elected officials are supposed to represent all of their constituents not just the ones that vote for them. The majority of Blacks (55%) live in the South. Virtually every State House and Governorship is controlled by Republicans. If it's true Government has done nothing to help and have mostly hurt Blacks, why are Republicans excluded from this narrative?

" As one participant in a regional listening session noted, “The key problem is that the Republican Party’s message offends too many people unnecessarily. We win the economic message, which is the most important to voters, but we then lose them when we discuss other issues.” "The African American community has a lot in common with the Republican Party, and it is important to share this rich history. More importantly, the Republican Party must be committed to building a lasting relationship within the African American community year-round, based on mutual respect and with a spirit of caring." Unless I'm missing something, it seems like these messages have been left to rot on the shelf with the rest of the GOP Project.

That's not unique or new to this election cycle. It's just next level abhorrent this time around.
