Next to Stute is 2020 6'3" PG Chuck Harris of Gonzaga College High School in D.C.. Next to Harris is Trevor Keels 2021 6'4" SG of Paul VI Catholic High School in VA. Both Harris & Keels were on unofficial visits. Butler touched back in the talented DMV region again with the commitment of Rivals150 guard Chuck Harris. The four-star junior brings a wealth of experience competing in arguably the top high school league in America, the WCAC, and boasts plenty of backcourt versatility in the backcourt. A 6-foot-2 lead guard that grew up right outside of the nation’s capital, Harris was overlooked to some degree throughout the recruiting process which allowed for the Bulldogs’ priority attention to be that much more evident with him. BU has seen fellow DMV native Aaron Thompson flourish in Indianapolis over the past two years, and while both bring different skillsets to the floor, Harris could be the eventual replacement for the rising junior whenever the time permits. Selecting the Bulldogs over George Washington, Penn State, Providence and a handful of other respected programs near his locale, Harris will bring a steady, translatable skillset to the Big East program. He has grown in recent years which allows for him to play different positions in the backcourt. A solid mid-range scorer but also an efficient playmaker, Harris boasts a four-to-one assist-to-turnover ratio this spring on the Nike EYBL circuit as he should be able to compete a multitude of tasks on the perimeter. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/butler-adds-rivals150-junior-chuck-harris

Dainja hasn't yet scheduled any visits for the winter, but if he does Florida, Georgetown, Iowa and West Virginia are some programs he mentioned interest in seeing. Where have you been on visits to? Unofficial visits were to Baylor, Minnesota, Northwestern, Illinois and then Marquette. Do you have any coming up? I’m taking an official visit to Ohio State. What do you like about those guys? I just think they have a good team. They come up to my school and talked about the program, showed me a couple of clips in how they would use me. Any other schools you may take official visits to? Next, I will probably go up to Louisville. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Dain-Dainja-2020-prospect-Ohio-State-Louisville-132052481/

3. Of the 2020 players you saw last weekend, who deserves the biggest rankings bump? Evans: Easy. Josh Hall. The 6-foot-8 forward has not stopped growing and it has been nice to see him add some strength onto his frame as he has become better at scoring against contact and playing through physicality. The toughness and abilities have always been there but by adding confidence to his repertoire along with an improving all-around skillset, Hall is now the positionless type of forward that the game has come to love. He can make shots, score at the basket and defend different positions in the half-court. Florida and Kansas offered prior to the live period while Texas just got on board earlier this week. NC State might have a solid chance due to their proximity to him and early time spent in recruiting Hall. The Team Loaded stud is in position to make a huge climb when we next update our Rivals150 for the class of 2020. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/rivals-roundtable-rj-hampton-2020-talk-and-what-s-next-for-boogie-ellisJosh Hall, Team Loaded NC Top 25 national player. That’s been my narrative for Hall all travel season long. Tai Young started the thought back in the high school season and we’ve subscribed to it now that we are past the halfway point in travel hoops. We saw a full offensive display from the North Carolina native at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions. He was outstanding from three, scoring off the bounce with ease. He has prototypical next level (and a level past that) size for his position and we continue to see a growth in his game. Hall is one of the few players who have a true take over quality to his game. He wants the ball in clutch situations and he knows how to deliver. Looking at our season so far, Hall has been one of the best play to on our big stage. - Justin Young hoopseen.com/news/event/201905/super-six-2019-bob-gibbons-tournament-champions

There are not many more sure-fire producers or competitors in America than Coleman. While he finds himself in between positions in the frontcourt, he plays extremely hard and is a plus rebounder. He’s going to put up steady numbers throughout his college career as Virginia is thought to be a top leader, though Duke could change things with an offer. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/evans-takeaways-talent-shines-at-southern-jam-fest

Why he could rise: The secret is starting to get out on Hall and after just cracking the 2020 Rivals150 in the winter he has moved up some thanks to players reclassifying. Pushing 6-foot-9 he has a pure jump shot, moves effortlessly around the perimeter with the ball and looks to have a very high ceiling. He's in position to contend for five-star status. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/bossi-s-best-a-dozen-spring-stock-boosters

4* 2020 SG Matthew Murrell. Memphis, TN Whitehaven 3. Of the 2020 players you saw last weekend, who deserves the biggest rankings bump? Bossi: I was home in Kansas City for the Under Armour Association and the 2020 prospect who stood out to me was Memphis shooting guard Matthew Murrell. Currently ranked No. 110 nationally, Murrell is deserving of at least a 40-50 spot bump in the next rankings. He’s among the top perimeter athletes in his class, plays hard and is becoming more diverse offensively. Auburn’s Bruce Pearl watched, Missouri’s Cuonzo Martin watched, Tennessee’s Rick Barnes watched, Kentucky’s John Calipari watched, Vanderbilt’s Jerry Stackhouse watched, Memphis chased him with an assistant as did many other programs. Looking at his recruitment logically, though, I’ll go ahead and call Memphis the team to beat given the way Penny Hardaway has been cleaning up locally. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/rivals-roundtable-rj-hampton-2020-talk-and-what-s-next-for-boogie-ellisRecruitment: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Georgetown, Illinois, Memphis, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and others would love to have him. Why he could rise: Murrell is as explosive as they come along the baseline and has a tremendous first step. He is able to punish defenders physically, finishes above the rim in traffic and competes on both ends. What he's done best, though, is hone his jump shooting from 15 to 23 feet. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/bossi-s-best-a-dozen-spring-stock-boosters

Phillips comes to the SEC program after coaching four years at Whitehaven High School, a talent laden program in Memphis that has continually produced high-major talent. The next in line is Matthew Murrell. Many would assume that by hiring Phillips, the commitment of Murrell, a prospect that has only known Phillips as his high school coach, might be next. That will not be the case, at least that is what he told Rivals.com. Am I saying that Vanderbilt will not win out? No, because even I put a Future Cast prediction in for the Commodores with Murrell. However, Murrell feels no pressure to commit to Vanderbilt. He told Rivals.com earlier this spring that six schools were standing out within his recruitment and the Commodores were not one of them. His leaders were Florida, Iowa State, Memphis, NC State, Ole Miss, and Tennessee. I expect his recruitment to bleed into the fall with official visits taken along the way. Murrell is the type of player Vanderbilt coach Jerry Stackhouse needs to get, though, as his competitive DNA, shot making and defensive prowess would do well in reigniting a program that is currently on a 20-game losing streak. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/three-point-play-washington-s-big-class-memphis-on-deck-vandy-hire

Elijah Wood Georgetown is also one of Wood’s favorites. “I love Patrick Ewing, how Coach [Robert] Kirby has come in and told me bad things about my game and what I can work on to get better,” Wood said of Georgetown. Wood has had more recruiting activity with Georgetown that any other school combining visits to campus and visits from coaches. He attended Georgetown’s game against Villanova earlier this season. Wood sits on the right in the photo below at the Georgetown game. Wood has taken two unofficial visits to Georgetown, one to St. Joesph’s, one to George Washington, one to West Virginia (for the West Virginia/Kentucky game) along with the one to St. John’s. Wood has been receiving interest, but no offers yet, from some of the nations top programs, namely West Virginia, UNC and Kentucky. Wood said that Kentucky will be coming to his AAU games later this year. It came as no surprise when Wood told me that the schools he had higher interest in at this point are the ones he has actually visited. Wood said that he plans to visit other schools on his list down the road. “Anyone who will come talk to me some more, I’d be happy to go see what they have. I really want to get out to visit more, just to experience the college feel,” Wood said. It’s clear that Wood has a lot of potential, and being just a sophomore, he will have time to develop into a better player before stepping on campus at whichever school he chooses. If the pass-first guard can fill out his 6’5” frame in the weight room, he could be even tougher to stop. His recruiting process still has a long way to go, but for now, St. John’s is certainly a contender to land this high ceiling point guard. www.rumbleinthegarden.com/2018/2/18/17008662/recruting-profile-2020-pg-elijah-wood-st-johns-bethesda-chevy-chase-georgetown-west-virginia georgetown.rivals.com/news/wood-has-schools-wondering

Looks like Rhode Island. Talk about someone not drawing out the recruiting process. That's two college commitments before his senior year of high school. Don't get me wrong, I like the fact that he's not out here waiting coaches time and knows what he wants. It just usual in this day and age...
