Recruitment: Offers from programs such as Georgetown, Houston, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas A&M, Tulsa, Virginia Tech, among others. Why his stock could rise: Physically, Aku already looks like he's logged a season or two playing for a high major. He rebounds, he runs the floor and as he gets a little nastier he could turn into a menacing rim protector. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/breakout-session-juniors-who-could-see-their-stock-take-off-this-spring

When it comes to pure scoring ability and explosive athletic ability, Jaden Springer can hang with any player in the country, regardless of class. The 6-foot-4 scorer from North Carolina plays the game in attack mode and never backs down from a challenge. Put it this way, he’s not out there to not shoot the ball and one way or another he’s going to get his buckets. That confidence allows him to score in any situation but it can also get him into a little bit of trouble at times where he simply tries to do too much. Also, he’s tended to rely a little bit too much on his athleticism which has led to some questionable shot selection at times. Springer will learn patience and shot selection as he gets more experienced, what is more important is that he’s fixing a previous worry, his jump shot. Playing with Bobby Maze Elite in Under Armour’s Association, Springer shot 38.2 percent from the three-point line and looked much more comfortable as a jump shooter. Should he continue along that path, he’s going to make a very strong case for the 2020 top 10. -- Eric Bossi basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/making-the-case-three-players-who-could-land-in-top-10-for-2020Evans' view: It would be difficult to leave the gym on Sunday evening and not be impressed by Jaden Springer. Already slotted as a five-star prospect, Springer looked the part and played like it where he scored with toughness at the basket, converting one of the more impressive finishes against gigantic Illinois commit Kofi Cockburn, He shows versatility as a handler and scorer and he's in terrific shape. One of the youngest members of the 2020 class, Springer is being courted by Auburn, Clemson, NC State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt, among others,. Don’t be surprised if he were to continue to make a name for himself and cement his standing as an elite guard prospect nationally. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/hoophall-classic-sunday-bossi-and-evans-rival-viewsWhile Springer doesn’t know where he wants to go to school, he does know what factors will be important to him when the time comes. “I want to see things beyond basketball,” said Springer. “I know my mom will be real concerned with the education, and then I want to go somewhere that will push me to become an even better player. It is all about finding the best fit.” 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Jaden-Springer-was-dominant-at-the-Flyin-to-the-Hoop-event-and-talks-recruiting-128027507/ Jaden Springer will be taking his official visit to Knoxville as the Volunteers could be a primary candidate for his signature when the time permits basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/programs-with-the-most-on-the-line-this-weekend

Corey Walker recently visited Virginia and Georgetown last month Georgetown: “It was nice up there. I met with Patrick Ewing and Louie Orr and they were just very nice and it was good to talk with them. I was able to scrimmage with the team. I like them a lot.” It was a big win over the weekend for Rick Barnes and Tennessee, knocking off Kentucky. It was also big in that the weekend also produced immediate results with one of a handful of high-level prospects who were on campus to see it. Sunday afternoon, top 30 junior wing Corey Walker Jr. committed to the Vols. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/starting-five-vols-rolling-in-all-phases-five-star-brooks-sets-decision

I'm sure Johnny will be watching tomorrow's game very closer. The 2020 SG has an offer from us and his brother Christian Juzang is a junior PG for Harvard.

I saw the last name when Harvard played Yale and wondered if Christian was kin to the kid we were recruiting. So maybe we can impress the kid with our style of play and our academics....

With the Galen signing what does that leave us for 2020? Can someone list out the possibilities?
Is it 1 still left and Jagan?
Of course I am happy about Alexander but I was very hopeful for a strong 2020 class...

The Italian kid, Frederico Miaschi, 6'5 guard who is supposed to visit in May...is a pure shooter with range (you can tell just by the way his shots go through the basket)...and he can take it to the basket and finish...has good athleticism and bounce to his game...to me just what the doctor ordered...(video link for 247 sports above)

I don't care WHAT the rankings are, that would be a dream class as far as fixin' what ails us.

With the Galen signing what does that leave us for 2020? Can someone list out the possibilities? Is it 1 still left and Jagan? Of course I am happy about Alexander but I was very hopeful for a strong 2020 class... I think it's too early to worry too much about scholarships. The odds that we'll have one or more early departures/transfers this off-season or next, ie. in time for the class of 2020, seems pretty high. I think there's also a chance that we bring in a grad transfer this year and that scholarship then opens up again next offseason. So at this point I think there are too many moving parts to worry too much about scholarship counts For 2019 we have openings from the graduation of Govan, Malinowski, Johnson, and Mourning, plus one from the dismissal of Walker. So that's 5, plus any from any transfers which I think is distinctly possible. Right now we have 4 guys committed against that--Tim I., Wilson, Wahab, Alexander. I expect us to bring in at least 1 more guy for next year, though not sure if it will be a 4 year guy (Gardner or a decommit) or a 1 year grad transfer. For 2020, we'll have Jagan graduating plus the expected departure of Yurtseven. I'd bet just about anything that we'll have one or more transfers by then, and if we end up with a grad transfer this year, that'll be another open slot. My guess is we'll bring in at least 3 in 2020, and maybe as many as 5. So at this point I think you keep recruiting the best players you can, across all positions. If we are well-positioned with an elite player we'll find a spot for him.

A spot is open for Miaschi or Gardner at this point. Other than that, wait for some coach firings/decommits and see if any big time talents become available. I think the staff has all they "need" in the 2019 class, but there is still room for a really solid player if one wants to commit. Great spot to be in.

I would only use the scholarship on a stud at this point. Otherwise, take a fifth year as they do not impact ‘20 recruits.

He's the one I want as the #1 recruiting target in 2020... special! Jrs. Mackinjo and Curbelo will score and control the game too much.
