Lots of interesting storylines in Week 1 of the NFL season:
-New England wins at Arizona without Gronkowski, Brady and a couple key offensive linemen. Jimmy Garoppolo played very well against Arizona's outstanding defense. I'm starting to believe that Bill Belichick can take any ragtag group of players and take them to the playoffs.
-To nobody's surprise, RGIII suffers a serious injury in the first game and could be out for the season, while the QB the Browns could've taken #2 overall in the draft(Carson Wentz) totally shredded the Browns defense
-Denver's defense(aided by some dirty hits that weren't flagged) dominates Cam Newton again
-Why wasn't Josh Norman covering Antonio Brown for the entire game yesterday?? The Redskins looked the same as last year...they shine against weak teams and get pounded by playoff teams!!
-A.J.Green dominates Darrelle Revis with 12 catches for 180 yards!!
-San Diego implodes again at Kansas City by blowing a 17-point fourth quarter lead.
-Jameis Winston throws for 4 touchdowns in a win at Atlanta
-With less than a minute left in the 4th quarter and his team down 34-33 after a touchdown, Oakland Raiders coach Jack Del Rio goes for 2 and converts, instead of kicking the extra point to tie the game. What a BALLSY move!! If the Raiders lost the game 34-33 he would've been ridiculed by everyone.
-The Rams offensive possessions in their 28-0 loss at San Francisco = Punt, Punt, Punt, INT, Punt, Punt, Punt, Punt, Punt, Punt, INT, Punt, Turnover On Downs, End of Game!! What's worse is the #1 overall pick QB Jared Goff is the 3rd string QB and was inactive for last night's game. Los Angeles hasn't had a football team since 1994, and it looks like they are getting a terrible team.
I was unaware that Rex Ryan hired his brother Rob as the Bills defensive coordinator. It was always fun to watch the Rob and Rex talk a big game and then stumble on separate sidelines, watching them do it on the same sideline will be even better!!
