Mean coach causes kids to transfer? Is this what I'm getting from twitter? Lots of former players are supporting him. Telling a kid he should transfer to a "transgender" team goes beyond "mean coach".

Telling a kid he should transfer to a "transgender" team goes beyond "mean coach". And some former players always support scandal plagued coaches. That's basically meaningless. 13 transfers in 5 years is pretty telling.

That alone has to violates several GWU policies.

That alone has to violates several GWU policies. I have heard rumors in the past about Lonergan being a nasty guy to play for from people who follow local hoops real closely, so it is not too surprising to hear this stuff coming out more publicly. When your starting point guard transfers going into his senior year (Kethan Savage - who will be Butler's PG this year), you would have to think that something pretty unusual is going on.

And telling a player that "his son will always be on food stamps". This is definitely fire-able conduct if true.

Not making light of this, but when I read this thread, I couldn't help thinking of Professor Kingsfield.
Here's a dime. Go call your mother and tell her you're never going to be a lawyer.

Interesting that he does not add "if it turns out to be true, ML should be terminated immediately". As usual, winning is the only thing.

To be fair, the Red Sox did win the World Series in 2004 and GW's endowment is a little greater than that of Georgetown. The rest? I don't have any particular hatred for GW. In fact, I rarely, if ever, think about GW at all.

In fact, I rarely, if ever, think about GW at all. Yeah, GW has this weird complex where they think they're our ultimate rivals when really I can't think of a single Georgetown grad with any sort of passionate feeling for that school. I'm glad the slavery story broke out but I highly doubt it somehow has changed the nation's opinion of the school, especially when considering Jack's efforts to reach out to their descendants.

I honestly don't see anything wrong with any of that. Certainly nothing in there is why we dislike GW, if we do at all. I think most Georgetown people just don't think about GW. But while hyperbolic on the slavery controversy, nothing about that post was inaccurate.
