Not sure who the next commit will be but I feel that the 2018 class needs a shooter as much or more than anything..
Hard to win today without knockdown shooters on the team..

We're gonna need a big in case Govan goes pro. It has to be Fleming.

If Fleming commits, that gives us a top 25 recruiting class for 2018. It cannot be overstated how impressive of an accomplishment that is given how little time he has had to get things together.

In this age of CBB I think the program does have enough front-court depth even if Jessie does go pro but it will still lack depth in the back-court especially in the shooting department..

We shall see about that. Players have to shoot. I don't think we saw enough of that in the past. Players seemed hesitant to take what I perceived to be good shots.

You right the team has Frontcourt depth but if Govan leaves, that will leave you with only Sodom and Derrickson (in small ball situations) manning the defensive interior. The way these whistle happy refs are in college basketball, that's no where near enough depth. I agree with you that perimeter shooting is a need and McClung will help some with that, but unless Govan returns or Mourning redshirts, the staffs gotta get another BIG. Carter will be able to give some minutes but not his natural position. Hopefully staff can put on a full court (all focus) press on Fleming and close the deal. Then they can see what happens, comes about in the spring period after some head coaches are relieved of their duties in terms of finding a scoring wing.

I got the last one right and I'm not gonna push my luck, so I'll go with SRG/SRD!

I know one thing, we can breathe a little easier and make sure we go after a couple of real daggers. We need point guards. I think our front court is pretty solid.

I personally think Govan will stay the duration and I'm not opposed at all to getting Fleming however the team looks top heavy to me.. When I see recent clips of Carter, he looks like he could easily handle post duties.. Malinowski is a big unknown to me plus he only has 1 year of eligibility left, he's not a longterm guard solution in my view.. Again in today's game of 3-guard line-ups, I'd rather be more balanced & definitely not top heavy with front-court players..

In general we need both true frontcourt players and traditional guards. We have enough wings and swing men at the moment.

Malinowski is supposed to be a very excellent shooter!

I agree with etomic. We need another ball handler/shooter in my opinion more than another big (unless that big is a game changer). I think Leblanc gives us more rebounding or rim protection than a Fleming. Even if Govan were to leave early I’d still rather go for a grad transfer big and push for the “big fish” we are on for the ‘19 class.

Govan leaving early? I like Jessie, but there is nothing in his game or his motor that makes me think he could be remotely ready to leave early.

I like Fleming next as he keeps retweeting all Hoya related things and then after that I think Ewing holds off until the Spring for a guard or 2

Majority of kids that leave early, aren't ready to leave early. Staff would be stupid to not prepare for it, even if the odds are not great he bounces...

You have to have depth, and develop experience, at every position these days, because almost anything can happen between early April and late September. Counting on late signings/grad transfers/decommits is a dangerous game that will eventually bite you hard.
