Obviously someone forgot the first rule of fight club..... I suspect I was going to catch the blame if I was wrong, so I will now take credit instead. You're welcome, everyone. You the man! All hail 2x2010!

Going after Walker hard, so I say Walker. What you think are our chances with Troy Brown? Mutual interest?

Definitely mutual interest, but some stiff competition. Cal and Oregon are legitimate threats. Think the waters commit will help...we'd likely have a top, if not the best incoming backcourt in the country with those two commits.

Whatever school Brown chooses they will have multiple guards on there team. Maybe Cal won't have multiple guards but Oregon and Kansas definitely will.

I would think that if we have an attractive commitment we take it; if not we can afford to wait.
Not to mention the possibility that one of our guys blows up and leaves early.

Brown, and if he goes somewhere else, shoot for another stud (any position, preferably big) in the fall. If not, wait until Spring to see how the season went, what's available in all markets (h.s., grad, internationals, transfers) and cherry pick, but we need a big in case Govan leaves early or Akoy is limited. There's always another scholarship available.

Brown or move to 2018 to me. I would rather try to get Boyd and Keldon for 2018. And people who say we cant get both I dont necessarily see that.

I agree with Sir Saxa- take someone the staff really wants, or save the scholarship for the Spring or 2018 class.
Great situation for the Hoyas. Kudos to the staff.

The Spring recruiting season is now becoming as important as the Fall. With the number of graduate transfers growing and the value to a program of adding a mature and experienced player, even for one year, the Hoyas should always have a plan in the event opportunity arrives in the Spring.

It would appear that our plan for the spring is a) get Brown and see if anyone goes pro or transfers to free up a scholly OR b) don't get Brown and enter the spring looking for the cream of the late signing, transfer, grad student crop. I am fine w that.

Exactly. If we get Troy (that would give us Tre, Trey, Tremont and Troy!)we exhale in peace (unless someone) moves up or out come spring; if we don't get him, we are in a comfortable enough position to see what options present themselves after the season.

And if all goes really well AND our existing signees (+ maybe Brown) have very good seasons, the draw will be strong to come build on this season's success with the incoming studs. All good, unless w chit the bed of course.
