I'm glad to see some other media member calling Goodman out on his B.S.!! Maybe he meant huge as in height?

There will be some big guys playing college ball in the DMV. Kenner League will be interesting. I wonder if GU will scrimmage UMCP this fall?

Most of their guys right now arent from DC. I think Morsell did play this year.

If I were a Twerp I'd be happy with this It's not a bad pick-up for them because they aren't counting on him to do anything. If he ends up playing well, great. If he doesn't, who cares. I watched him play once this year and I think he's a bit away, but he missed a ton of time and may still not be 100%. He did block some shots though, and was a presence on defense.

I would love to play the Terps this year and would agree to a single-game deal at their place in a HEARTBEAT.

Chol Marial is a longer-term insurance policy. They have the Mitchell Twins coming in and have Jalen Smith returning. They are set-up to be in no immediate need for Marial to be impactful. If he is able and ready as a freshmen, that's gravy...

This is unfortunate, but I have to admit that when kids who play for Maryland or Syracuse get hurt, it doesn't bother me as much as when kids attending other schools get hurt. I acknowledge that's a character flaw on my part, but can't help it.

Speaking of Chol dudes on Maryland sites were first envisioning him as a lottery pick when he chose the Teprs, based on his former classification as being a top five player in his class. As news of his previous injuries and setbacks began to mount they started to settle for him being a first round pick who would start for the Terps one season, help lead the team to a Final Four, perhaps a championship and then move on to the NBA. Expectations had to be shifted or jettisoned once more when there was genuine concern that Chol wasn't going to make the grade academically in order to graduate in time and join the Maryland team. Now, after getting the academic scores he needed and with expectations by fans a little more reasonable and realistic, most of the optimism regarding what he could do for the team goes up in flames with the recent news regarding the corrective surgeries Chol will be undergoing.
Maryland is kinda thin in the frontcourt and interesting enough many of their fans aren't as convinced that the the incoming pair of twins will solve that problem. Months ago they weren't as concerned about this solely because of Chol.
