66 minutes, zero assists & 7 turnovers.. He has to learn to share the ball, not passing it to Mosley on that 2 on 1 run out was terrible basketball.. At the game last night, I turned to my brother (a MD grad, BTW) and said that could be the turning point in the game. A pass you learn to make in junior high school.

I don't have any film to go on and he was just before my time on campus, but does anyone have a George Butler vibe from Pryor?

I don't have any film to go on and he was just before my time on campus, but does anyone have a George Butler vibe from Pryor? Not unless Pryor's walking around campus wearing a vest with no shirt underneath. Joking aside, sort of - I guess. I was there for Butler's only full year, his junior year. He was a big deal get because Tyler JC had a rep and well, he was a big dude. Definitely a shoot first guy but more of a midrange game and/or bull his way to the hoop. Don't remember him taking many 3s or being that great of a 3 pt shooter. But that team also didn't have a "star" in the backcourt (Othella was the main focus) so he might have had the green light. I remember him being very polished, at least to a casual observer. His senior year, which got cut short when he got kicked out of school, he had the benefit of lining up beside Iverson and with some of the pressure of him I think his shooting numbers were better in a limited sample size. That team of course returned Othella and added JYD and Jahidi White. I remember the game vs. Memphis in Toronto his senior year (94-95 season) being his best overall. T hink there might even be some YouTube footage kicking around.

He's trying to do too much. He needs to just do what he does best. Nothing out of the ordinary.

My concern would be that with his "alpha dog" personality, too many of the other players will defer to him even when he is off his game, like last night.

We are so lucky to have landed him. The one I have most confidence in shooting it from deep. Peak and Derrickson can stroke it as well.

We need to get him to stop leading fastbreaks. Get the ball to Tre, Jon, LJ, or Jagan. Get to the wing and shoot Js or finish at the rim....

I did see a couple of smarter plays last game, although I realize the level of the opponent. He seems to try to do too much when others are struggling. Hopefully that changes - especially if others can step up.

Pryor has been great for us this season. His offensive efficiency right now is 133.3, the highest of any major player in the JT3 era (in 2007, Hibbert was 130.8, also amazing). He has been key to our success this year, and will be going forward.

That 133.3 is just a shade behind Josh Hart (134.9) who is currently leading the KPOY running - the measurement of most valuable minutes in the nation on kenpom. Rodney has also racked up 5 "Game MVPs" on kenpom (highest player rating for team in winning effort), which is tied with four other players for the most in the country.

Don't know, but I do know he can drop 20 a game shooting .58 fg%, .52 3pt fg%, & .84 FT% Video game numbers. Don't care how he gets it done. He just does. Him & Peak are the dogs on this team and should not be questioned. They are the least of our problems.
