...anyone remember his game against GU last year? describe it. Also in watching his game against Duke in the NCAAs last year h e seems like a utility guy who is athletic - he helps balance things out for his team...

His 2014-2015 stats really jump out: 48% shooting and 43% from three. Only 1.4 turnovers per game for a guard.

linkAs for what the Hoyas are receiving in Pryor, CSNmidatlantic.com spoke to coaching source within the NEC. The sense is the Pryor's scoring knack should transfer to the Big East, though he wasn't terribly efficient last season (83 turnovers and 48 assists) for a 10-win team. He suffered a mid-season concussion which affected his play as did opposing defenses zeroing in on him. Pryor shot 29 percent on 3-pointers after sinking 43 percent the previous year.

Pryor is a smart player. That highlight tape shows a lot of thinking going on and making good snap decisions with what to do with the ball. Love this guy!

The news even made the ESPN crawl, a great addition.

A pleasant surprise. I thought we had an outside chance but I didn't think we would find out this early.
From the video reminds me of Mitch Richmond or a bigger Hersey Hawkins.

He's got a little bit of James Harden in him as well.

He's got a little bit of James Harden in him as well. Hopefully not on the defensive end...

Like the way he can elevate over people for his jumper and around the basket. I know it's a smaller conference, and our own attendance is sometimes a little light, but Bryant's gym looked like the set of a horror movie. And Sacred Heart should publish their address.

A 6-foot-5, 205-pound shooting guard, Pryor had his request granted by the NCAA and he will be eligible next season as a graduate transfer. "Georgetown checked all the boxes," said Pryor, who announced his commitment on Twitter on Sunday, April 17. "Being a one-year guy, I knew I had to go to the right system and have the right group of coaches. Playing in the Big East is the platform I needed for fulfilling my aspirations "(On my visit) I played pickup ball with the guys, and it was just a good vibe. My mom had a good feeling there, the area is nice, there are so many different kinds of people (from around the country and the world) and great networking possibilities. A lot of friends talked about how great a (graduate) degree from Georgetown would be. _________ Pryor also has gotten the job done in the classroom, and he is scheduled to earn his degree in organizational leadership on Saturday, May 7. He is considering studying sports industry management at Georgetown. Pryor said his mom, Xenia Roach, will be leading a large contingent of family and friends to Western Pennsylvania next month to celebrate her son's graduation. "That's a huge, huge deal because I'll be the first in my (immediate) family to fully graduate from college," Pryor said. "There will be 30 to 40 people coming down and it's going to be an amazing time." ______________ Though Pryor will be a newcomer, he said Georgetown coaches will be counting on him to be team leader. This makes sense given that Pryor will turn 24 years old just before next season and has NCAA Tournament experience, having faced North Florida and Duke in the 2015 tournament. "Georgetown has challenged me to be a leader vocally and through example, and I liked that," Pryor said. "I'm looking forward to that challenge with this group of players." www.chicagotribune.com/suburbs/evanston/sports/ct-evr-georgetown-mens-basketball-rodney-pryor-tl-0425-20160428-story.html

We can certainly use another leader. Sounds like he fit in comfortably during his visit. And the moms always love us!

Bryant's campus now has stuff around it but when I attended there it has nothing around it. It was basically in the woods.

Helluva way to announce his presence. Here's to hoping that there are even better things to come. Gaudy numbers are great and fun to watch. But I'm hoping he goes all Austin Freeman UConn style in a big game in his short time on the Hilltop. I'm excited to see what he can do against better opponents and I'm also encouraged by the clips I've seen of his interviews. He sounds like a competitive guy that knows that work pays off. I get that he's older than everyone else. He seems like he acts that way too in the good ways. I know zero about him other than what's been posted here but he seems like a tremendous addition to the school and to the team.

Agreed, Tas -- everything I've read about and from Pryor tells me that he's a preparation guy, someone who knows that hard work in the gym is the thing that brings about the good stuff on the court in real games. Love it, and I bet that attitude is infectious.

Not Ready For Prime Time yet. Hopefully this will help him learn how to calm his game and try not to do too much, especially when his shot isn't falling.

For Georgetown to succeed this year, Pryor needs to succeed. The 5 turnovers tonight killed him. He needs to play more within himself and try to stop forcing things as much, and he'll be much better for us.

66 minutes, zero assists & 7 turnovers..
He has to learn to share the ball, not passing it to Mosley on that 2 on 1 run out was terrible basketball..
