I don't see Campbell starting by the time the BE schedule rolls around. That would mean Pryor and Mulmore are less than advertised.

Don't you think Pryor would have been offered a starting role? His comments seem to suggest that he sees himself as one, if not the leader, of this team next year. Let's face it we need his kind of experience on the court.

Let's face it we need his kind of experience on the court. That may be true but LJ is the best player on the squad. And he works the hardest on D. It's his team. And what is "his kind of experience" in relation to the juniors and the 5th year grad student we have coming back?

Let's face it we need his kind of experience on the court. I read it back and my tone was harsh and it wasn't how I meant it. I'm all for any new guy coming in and wanting to lead by example and with his play. I just don't think anyone has earned that role more than LJ. It's rare that a first year guy in any program is the leader. If that does happen, it's usually a program changing type guy.

To be fair to Pryor, I don't think he knew Hayes was coming back when he made the comments michaelgrahmstylie is talking about.

With all these new pieces and surprises this should be a very clear test to the quality of the coaching staff. This is a difficult task with much upside and with a great deal of room for criticism if there is little to no improvement from last year.

A lot of kids on this roster starting off the Summer with either a giant chip on their shoulder and/or a whole lot to prove...

It's rare that a first year guy in any program is the leader. If that does happen, it's usually a program changing type guy. I don't disagree with you, necessarily. However, I do believe that not only is it more than likely that he was told that he was going to be a leader on this team, I believe the coaching staff went looking for a Pryor. I think it was quite apparent to all of us that experience was sorely lacking on this team. Now, as another poster has pointed out (sorry, bro, I don't have your name), the utterances by Pryor were probably pre-Hayes' declaration. However, I don't see Peak as a vocal leader. He is, as others have opined a leader who leads by example. And, then again, why not have two or three guys the youth can look to leadership?
