Great news for SJU. The BE needs them to be relevant and these two transfers will help. The extra year may be a blessing for a kid like Simon. I read they are also after the Ark State grad transfer, 15 and 9 player. I like what Mullin is doing while he builds his connections to 2017/2018 class kids.

I agree NC, adding Simon(Who's like a bigger Jagan imo) & Clark upgrades their talent level a lot.. Then add in the fact that Lovette & Tariq Owens are now eligible plus Shamorie Ponds & the juco kid Bashir Ahmed(who's reported to be a beast) are coming in too.. Things look positive for them imo...

Mullin has some very good recruiters in assistants Barry Rohrssen and Matt Abdelmassih. They just needed some time.

I read about this yesterday. Apparently Ellenson was basically dropped from his basketball scholarship and roster spot and the whole Ellenson family is beyond upset with Wojo. They feel he lied to them and recruited used the elder Ellenson brothers commitment to secure the younger and much better Ellenson commitment. The whole family has stopped following Wojo and Marquette Basketball on social media and there younger sister who's apparently a high caliber basketball player is supposedly no longer considering Marquette anymore. I'm not surpised at all at this story as Wojo learned at the foot of the master for years. The difference is Wojo isn't a Teflon Don like Coach K and this will have long term reprucussions on Wojo when he tries to recruit other highly ranked kids out of high school especially kids in his backyard and the Midwest.

And nobody saw this coming?? You saw it coming? I didn't. I was aware that the older Ellenson was bait for the younger one but I would have never guessed Wojo would drop him from a scholarship after the younger bro left school.

Don't see Wright going out west, nor Roy or Izzo making the move to the NBA at this point.
Lakers and CalShady? Yeah I could see it with his ego.

SJU talkboard?

Great offseason so far for the BEAST. I agree with those who say that 'Nova's win provided some helpful exposure (and, surely, talking points).
