Congrats to 100 wins in a row, it's a mind boggling accomplishment. I'm not sure this streak will ever be broken. I wish we had a Geno like coach here. An incredible statistic: only 2 of their 100 wins were by single digits.

Congrats to 100 wins in a row, it's a mind boggling accomplishment. I'm not sure this streak will ever be broken. I wish we had a Geno like coach here. Geno Auriemma is this era's John Wooden. Even putting aside 11 national titles or a winning percentage of .880, he gets the most out of his team each and every year, and not every UConn team is automatically the best team every year, 2017 being a prime example. In 27 years, he has 21 conference titles (18 Big East, three AAC). Since 1993, UConn has not missed at least the round of 16 (yes, playing in Hartford or Storrs helps) and has now made the Final Four nine consecutive years. In that same period, no men's team has been to more than three. Those are some great stats. I think people get tripped up when they think the men's and women's game are the same, which they must definitley are not. If Geno took over a men's team he would certainly not be winning 100 straight games. I think the accomplishment is taking a program from absolutely nothing to where it is today. Thats the magic. The other Point is he doesnt always have the BEST players. True hes had Maya, Diana and Stewie but look at this year. HE doesnt have that once in a generation player. He has molded a team and its his best coaching job since the early lobo days. He runs an amazing program only take the kids that have the desire and can be molded. Thats what we have to do.

Geno Auriemma is this era's John Wooden. Someday, we'll probably find out who his Sam Gilbert was.

Lead guard hurt and a 6 man rotation and the beat rolls on
Crazy.

Geno much better in the 90 point blowouts than the close ones...
PS: it’s women's basketball...
