Also helps that there was no shot clock in 1985. Allowed the Wildcats to slow down the pace and hold the ball. . .until Jensen was open for a three. It would have had to have been a really long shot clock because Jenson would have had to wait about two years for the three which did not come into play until the 86-87 season. Well, hoyachris, as you well know, I don't remember much about that game.

Nice press for the league. Says a lot about where we are that the word "Georgetown" didn't appear once in that column. And that the point is repeatedly made that Villanova was always the "likeliest" program to carry the new conference's banner. Yet another reminder that we need to wake the F up.

To me, the impact of Nova winning has been clear on recruiting across the conference. Almost every team has seen a solid recruit or transfer join the fold since Nova won. It's clear the new Big East has renewed ligitimacy in the eyes of recruits.
