With the brackets set and Nova, Provy, Xavier, Butler & Seton Hall in, we all become cheerleaders of the big east.
I think Providence and Butler win their first games and I only give Provy a shot against UNC. I am not sure Butler can beat UVA.
Seton Hall is on a tear and I think they beat Gonzaga and then have to bring it against Utah. Very tough second game for them but I think they could be sweet 16 bound.
Xavier should be in the sweet 16 playing Weber and likely Wisconsin. West Virginia in the sweet 16 is going to be really tough but I have Xavier in the final four.
Nova should easily win their first round. I was not impressed with Asheville. A Philly rematch against Temple gets Nova in to the 2nd weekend. Although Miami/Arizona are very beatable, I think that is the end of the road for Nova without a 100% healthy Ochefu.
It would be great for the conference if we can get to 5-0 in the opening round and 8-2 in the opening weekend. We could really use three teams in the second weekend.

For the first time in 28 years, I watched neither the selection show nor even looked at a bracket.
For me, the NCAA tourament was always an meritocracy...but now seeing the complete bias towards Power Conference schools, it appears that those in power want to ruin college basketball as they have college football.
Not sure how much tournament I am going to watch. I might instead watch Hoya soccer players.

I'd like Providence to beat UNC if they didn't have to play in North Carolina. The only question about that game is whether Dunn, Bentil or both spend most of their time on the bench with foul trouble

Monmouth should be in. Cuse has no right being in. Just hoping on a huge outcome from Big East teams as I am tired hearing friends of B1G schools & ACC chirp about the new big east.
