We're a dumpster fire, of course. But I am so happy with what the rest of the conference has become so quickly. This game (and tournament) have been entertaining as hell. The atmosphere at the Garden looks amazing.

The atmosphere at the Garden looks amazing. This game is bananas. I'm fully on seton hall bandwagon. They're a lot of fun to watch. Glad the conference is reppin' while we repeatedly Edited our pants.

But, I thought the Big East was dead?
So, is this what it looks like when all of the members of your highly-regarded freshman class all take two steps forward as sophomores instead of two steps back? Such a depressingcontrast between the SH sophs and ours.

Maybe Derrickson is Jenkins next year. One can hope. What a beast.

Not so 'Big Smoove' on defense apparently.
Nova did a great job of slowing Seton Hall down in the second half.

Great atmosphere. I said my fair share of negative things about Whitehead last year but Willard has got him under control and the kid can ball.

This game is incredible. Great showcase for the league. I view Seton Hall as an inspiration for what I hope we will be able to do next year. If we keep our sophomore class together, they may be able to have a great junior year, and maybe Derrickson and Govan make this kind of leap.
Either way, great to see the Big East is very much alive!

Gtown wants to improve recruiting? Well this nice little network called Fox and Fox Sports airs the BET Finals on Saturday night each year in MSG. This year its even on the mother network for all households to see. If only Gtown could get to that final BET game and give itself a boost on the recruiting front by playing on THAT stage with that atmosphere. But three years into this new BE contract and the Hoyas have yet to make it that far to that final game to take advantage of the situation. And to think John Thompson III was arrogantly referring the new Big East as the Georgetown conference (or something closed to that) when discussing the conference overhaul a few years back.

Would've been sick to see nova repeat regular season and tourney champs two years in a row. Go Pirates! Great story. Kudos to Kevin Willard.

Maybe Derrickson is Jenkins next year. One can hope. What a beast. Derrickson is already the better three-point shooter IMO. But it is everything else he has to catch up on. And that is what worries me considering Derrickson plays for a program that overemphasizes threes and backdoor cuts and doesn't seem as interested in other aspects of the game.

Seton Hall could be a threat in the Big East. They have a great nucleus of sophomores with Whitehead, Delgado, Desi rodriguez, and Khadeen Carrington. I expect them to make the tournament. I will give myself some credit for believing in the Pirates from day 1.

Where is III on the list of Big East coaches that major programs with vacancies call? Wright, Mack, Cooley, Willard... Is McDermott or Wojo above III? Even given two joke programs/coaches in DePaul with Leitao and St. John's with Mullin, is III bottom half of the Big East? Yikes.

He's not a better 3pt shooter then Jenkins MCI but I agree that the system/style must fit the roster..
