In the article it says prep school may be an option. Do we know if this is how we're recruiting him or do we want him right away? Looks to have great upside. Very good athleticism, good form on the jumper and runs the court well. I'd love to roll the dice on him

I was wondering if we were gonna offer him. I like it. Always gotta worry abot DCIAA kids if they can hack it academically but if he qualifies, why not?. I say at this point we have a team where we can take a chance on him.

Win or lose, it's the school we choose.

More of an LJ clone than Jagan.

I hope this isn't a sign the staff expects LJ to head out...

I dont think that is necessarily his ceiling. He hasnt played basketball for that long and I like how hard he plays. He probably would have gone to a WCAC team had he played earlier in life and be farther along but he has the athletic ability to play at this level. His skills I think will come. Certain people you look at and say if you throw them in the deep end of the pool they will swim. I think he is one of those.

But, again, this team is in no position to 1) take a flyer on a kid with our current depth, 2) take a flyer on a wing, of any position.

I do not mean to get off topic- but the notion that this staff cannot coach is a joke. I am glad that they offered this young man and trust their judgment way more than all of the pundits on this board. I am interested to see how this situation plays out.

I would rather take a flyer on an athletic kid who plays hard right now than say someone who is a shooter or a 7ft big man.

Walker does seem skilled, he kinda reminds me of Deandre Hunter, however I agree with POD..
The program needs help in the back-court and it's not just the pundits on this board who believe this..
I'd rather see the staff offer Dmitrik Trice or Leland Green or Eron Gordon or Marcus Ottey or Godwin Bohean or Jordan Bowden ect..
Bottom line is that there's still back-court help out there, imo that's where the staff should be looking for 2016..

I have nothing against this kid, but unless a forward on the team has told III he is leaving or Walker is going to prep school, this offer makes little sense. I like that he is an athlete, probably could help us on defense immediately.
I like keeping local kids at Georgetown, but right now this program needs a guard so badly. That has to be the priority.

Has anyone actually seen this kid play...or just basing criticism on the fact he has not gotten many major offers so late in the process? I would not mind getting a local kid who is a late bloomer. Does this preclude us from adding a guard?

I'm assuming it's a near certainty that at least one of our forwards this season won't be back, and I have a feeling this roster will look entirely different when next season tips off.
