If he's the next Sam Young I will be thrilled.

No. JYD could handle the ball. He is type of player that Howland/Dixon Pitt teams would have. That 4 who was a bit undersized but just wanted it more. Except he has good hops. ...saying he's a howland dixon type is an underestimation in my opinion - and they had some pretty good players. Antwan can be unstoppable at some point at the college level Pump the brakes. Nobody is projecting him to be unstoppable. Sam Young was a monster in high school. Walker is a late bloomer who right now is an energy glue guy. Let him develop. He likely won't be an instant impact guy.

Not so sure Sam Young was an instant impact guy either.

I have no idea how good Walker will be but comparing him to Sam Young is tough act to follow. Young was an athletic freak of nature who was also very crafty and very smart on the court. As a freshman he was on the BE all rookie team and as a senior he was a Wooden award finalist. While Walker can be a very good player for the Hoyas, we really have to temper our expectations a bit. It could take him a few years to reach his potential.

Young and Blair were examples of players I'd call Howland/Dixon types at Pitt, both of whom were, at some point, clearly unstoppable in college. I wasn't comparing Walker to either--I don't know Walker's game outside of the posts here. If Walker has years like either of them, he will be a huge recruit for the program.

Maybe Walker will be the next LeBron. That's not an unreasonable expectation, is it?

All jokes aside- I understand what people mean by the comps and to some extent have the same feeling. I am not sure he will be as good as Sam Young, but I think he will be a tough, savvy player who adds a ton of value to the team.

I think people took my comp as some slight then went overboard with it. I just meant those Howland/Dixon teams always had a Pf that if there was a 50/50 rebound it was really 70/30 and they would do whatever it took on that night for them to win. Sometimes it was scoring sometimes it was rebounding, but they always played within the team framework. I was not saying Sam Young and I was not saying Chevy Troutman. Just saying mentality.

Luc Richard Mbah a Moute. I'd settle for that, as well.

Can't wait to watch Antwan develop as a Hoya. Gonna be a hard worker, may take a year or two to really shine, but he will help strengthen our program.

This is probably a late question but is Antwan a SF, PF, PF/SF, is he 6'7 or 6'8?

Congrats Antwan, we're excited to have you on the team! I wonder if he got yelled at for having his lid on indoors
