That writeup is nice to see. Seems like maybe he'd taken us off the radar for a bit, but now we've got some new momentum so...? Dare to dream, but Stewart and Wilson would be a great big man haul for '19. Stewart could step right in with Omer, LeBlanc, and others at the 4/5. If he's truly a 1 or 2 and done, Wilson will have had some time to develop and take over when he and Omer are gone. Throw in a Whitney/Nickelberry, an Anthony( )/Quinones + Gipson/Broadnax/Gultekin, and you've got the type of class I'm hoping for. Newfound hope is a helluva drug. I don't think it is a reach to say that snaring Akinjo is big part of this. Perhaps Stewart was waiting to see if Big Pat was going to land a high-level guard (and I don't mean any disrespect to McClung, who I am really excited for).

Texas site:
Stewart, who visited Texas before making his way up to Dallas for the Nike EYBL session, is as good as advertised. Good luck finding a big with a better motor in the 2019 class and one that sprints the floor as well as Stewart does. Physicality is something Stewart embraces, which was on display when he went head-to-head with behemoth, 6-11 big Kofi Cockburn, who might be the most physically imposing prep player I’ve watched. But there was Stewart fighting for every rebound, he grabbed 15 of them that game, and showing impressive second-jump ability to get off the floor again quickly for tipped balls in a crowd.
What separates Stewart is his skill level. He’s comfortable handling the ball with his back to the basket, and passing out of a double team or making a move. Also, the La Lumiere (La Porte, Indiana) product showed soft touch away from the paint, and comfortably handled the ball around the perimeter to help facilitate the offense. With soft hands, Stewart is able to catch the ball on the run well in transition for a big guy.
Per Andrew Slater of The Athletic, Stewart measured at 6-9 with a 7-3 wingspan during his Texas visit. It seems like every top program in the country is making him a priority, but the Longhorns should be a major player in this one until the end because of the early work they've done and their recent track record with bigs.

x Class of 2019 Isaiah Stewart, C, City Rocks – There might not be a better rebounder in the entire class than Stewart. In a big win over Team Final, Stewart was an absolute beast. He dominated the glass, scored around the rim, and hit a perimeter jumper. Quite simply there might not have been a more impressive performance on the day than the dominant one that Stewart put forward on Saturday night. Anthony Harris, CG, Team Takeover – A big and physical combo guard, Harris is at his best going to the rim. That said Harris did make the few jumpers he attempted on Saturday evening. Another thing Harris does well is feed the post. He finds angles and is more than willing to get his bigs touches. Also Harris is an excellent defender who gives maximum effort on that end of the floor E.J. Liddell, PF, Bradley Beal Elite – There might not be a harder playing and more intense dude on the entire circuit than Liddell. He is undersized, but he can absolutely dominate games at times. Liddell got to the foul line a bunch, rebounded like a monster, and then also made shots from the mid-range and around the rim. His energy and toughness was instrumental in keeping his team in a back and forth game. Hunter Dickinson, C, Team Takeover – Another kid playing up and making a big impact was Dickinson. While he is a bit of a slow footed throwback center, Dickinson is so skilled that he remains very effective. Dickinson scores on the low block, is a great passer, and also will rebound. One thing he doesn’t do is block shots, but Dickson does basically everything else from a skill perspective. 247sports.com/college/basketball/recruiting/Article/Isaiah-Stewart-and-Keion-Brooks-led-the-way-with-top-performances-on-Saturday-at-the-Nike-EYBL-117808165

Few prospects in Indianapolis had more coaches watching their games than Isaiah Stewart. The five-star prospect has led a high-profile recruitment for the last two years, and now the heat is on for which program can close on the Indiana standout. Head coaches from Washington, Michigan State, Texas, Villanova, Georgetown, UCLA and Notre Dame were closely monitoring Stewart, as were assistants from Syracuse, St. John's and Duke. Stewart is certainly worthy of all of the attention as a dominant big man, averaging over 16 points and 10 rebounds per game on the Nike EYBL circuit.

Looked at the tape. This young man has leaned out and is looking spectacular. I hope we are still in the game for him. Hope coach reminds him join the Hoyas...would be great.

Velcro. That’s what Isaiah Stewart’s hands are. The star center with the Albany City Rocks was at it again in the Peach State, gobbling up rebounds like his life was dependent upon it, corralling double-digit boards in all four of his contests. In one outing he grabbed 10 rebounds on the offensive side of the court. Stewart is a physical beast down low who has become fairly efficient in scoring over either shoulder. He is one of the surest soon-to-be college superstars in the high school game, and he was the catalyst for his team’s undefeated weekend. An explosive, dominant big man who plays to his strengths, there is no taking the ball away from Stewart whenever he gets his hands on it. Duke, Villanova, Georgetown, Notre Dame, Texas, Louisville and a slew of others continue to make him a priority. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/eybl-atlanta-evans-awards

Isaiah Stewart, C, City Rocks – Quite simply there isn’t a better rebounder in the class of 2019 than Stewart. His high energy style and natural gifts for rebounding the ball were on full display. While he doesn’t possess the greatest touch, he is efficient enough on the offensive end, and then can move well on defense. His play all weekend was extremely impressive, and he is asserting himself as one of the most productive bigs in the entire class.

“I want to cut it down to around six or seven or eight,” Stewart said in Indianapolis in April. “Some days, I think it’s down to five and some days up to seven. I just want two cut down soon and move forward with those schools.
