Omari was also a top 20 recruit and honestly I'll be surprised if he matches Cunningham's NBA career. I'll be honest, I'm not familiar with Dante Cunninham's NBA career but I don't think he was an elite player coming out of HS so whatever success he's having would be a good selling point for Wright, not a bad one... Spellman developed very well under Wright and was a very productive player in his lone season @ Nova which would be another good selling point for Wright imo..

Spellman was a 5 star top 20 recruit. If we give Villanova credit for his development then we should give Coach K and Calipari credit for all their 5 stars. (I do btw. Much easier said than done)
Dante Cunningham is actually a great story and he has had the best NBA career for any Villanova big in the past 20 years. It's either Michael Bradley or him. I hate to generalize but when i think of Villanova, i think of great guards.

Best Villanova big man career is a bit like being the most honest Trump campaign aide... Villanova hasn't had a dominating center but when the discussion turns to the best Villanova player of all time, it's an obvious choice. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Arizin

To me, he's a different case than most 5* kids..

If that’s the case...hoping for Nova. Espn just did their breakdown of all the power conferences and left out the Big East of course. It’s hard for the BE to stay relevant...need all the talent we can get. You have a point. But keep in mind that "relevant" and "relevant to ESPN" can be significantly different $tandard$.

Exactly. Stewart is a really god player and I wish he was coming to Georgetown, but he is not, so lets move on to something/someone else

I am assuming Washington plays zone primarily but I wouldn't know because no one watches Pac 12 Bball. These types of moves seem really odd and my guess is these kids aren't terribly informed. If he is looking for a pro-career and some notoriety I gotta think a move to UW is silly. I would argue the same about Oregon for Cole Anthony.

UW has recently had lottery picks in Markelle Fultz (#1 overall) and Marquese Chris (#8 overall). If you can play, the NBA will find you. Or in these cases, even if you can't play, the NBA can still find you at Washington. I think I could actually make the argument that if you're not a complete superstar like Zion Williamson or RJ Barrett, going to a place like Washington might be better than Duke, as going to Duke may expose your weaknesses given all the media attention.

Hopkins is an excellent recruiter, he was the main guy at Syracuse. Washington has improved significantly in two years.

NBA Draft Picks Since 2012: Washington: 6 Oregon: 6 Georgetown: 1 Welcome to 2019.
