All meets will be held this weekend. Adam Barnard, Reilly Bloomer, and Nick Wareham, our baby-faced freshman will be in Bend, Oregon for the National USATF Cross Country meet. Reilly is from Eugene, so he will be right at home.
The Scarlet and White meet at Boston Univ will be interesting mainly for the seeded section of the mile:
4:30 Seeded section of the mile run (Bartelsmeyer, Green, Williams, Carpenter, Murray, Bile, Lederhouse, Caste, Thomas, Seal, Flynn
Hoyas represent 60% of the field, and I assume sub-4 minutes is the goal. I would expect Amos, Cole, Ahmed, and Michael to be at least close or under four minutes. Jon Green, usually a distance guy, established a PR, shaving off 11 seconds, so he might PR again. Scott has been running well too. John Murray also has a chance to go under 4. I imagine this race will have at least one rabbit. I don't know if any of the Hoyas will serve pacing duties.

Just as I expected: Bile 3:57.8, Williams 3:57.8, Bartelsmeyer 3:58.2, Lederhouse 3:58.4. 4 Hoyas under 3:59.
Two years in a row that four Hoyas ran a sub-4 minute mile in the same heat; this time Cole Williams replaces Ryan Manahan as the four guy. The other three suspects remain. This time all went under 3:59. Congratulations to all.

I know that many programs have to make their home at facilities far from campus, but Villanova 'hosting' an event in Staten Island really takes the cake.
In any case, sounds like yesterday was a very successful day for the Hoyas. Here's hoping that the facilities upgrade brought by the TAC provides the nudge that takes this program to perennial national championship contender status.

Apparently, that Ocean Breeze track is a very nice facility. But that is strange that Nova was hosting the meet. Georgetown doesn't seem to have their "home meet" at GU Prep this year.

After this weekend the women are ranked 8th in the country, up from 11th, and the men are 28th from 32nd. The women moved up mainly from Sabrina's nation leading mark in the 800m.
