Fordham pummeled St Johns 73-57. Led wire to wire by double digits. Fordham is 4-1 vs D1 and may be competitive for the first time in years - they haven't played in the postseason in over 20 years - they are playing a week schedule but have won by a bunch . Not a great night for St. Johns.

Never sad to see Cuse lose, but was figuring that it would be better to catch them undefeated rather than after a tough loss. For RPI purposes, I believe it is a wash since we play both WI and Cuse.
We need to be ready to check Cooney and Gibinjie on Saturday. If we can contain them, we will have an excellent chance to win.

In this case, tough to tell. Just win Saturday and who cares, right!

Kentucky down 11 to UCLA, under 4 mins to go.

Kentucky's defense looked absolutely pedestrian and there's not a lot of shooters on that team.

Not impressed with Labissiere. Way too easy to push around. He'll probably get picked first next year, but could use about 50 pounds.

As good as Simmons appears to be, he has no jumper, or at least has yet to unveil it.

I can't disagree though the things he does do well are at a higher level than any other player that I've seen at the college level and it's not all that close. Considering he's a 75% free throw shooter, the mechanics aren't bad. Dude just needs to practice. To this point, he hasn't had to be a shooter to be really successful. He will at the next level and I don't really doubt that he will. 20/15/6 as a freshman is pretty impressive. He's better than Skal and it isn't remotely close. I know the draft is heavy on upside but Simmons isn't lacking in upside. Add a midrange game and 20 pounds of muscle and I can't see how any GM would choose Skal over Simmons. No brainer. Add that he plays point at times for LSU. And does it well.

I definitely wouldn't compare him to lebron, but I can see why people would look to make that comparison. For a young player, he has a great understanding of the game. He's not simply all skill; his court awareness is unmatched by anyone in a pretty talented class. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching him this season even if LSU as a team is a bit of a young mess.

This. Go Bruins, indeed. I was not expecting anything like this, particularly the way Kentucky had manhandled Duke. Skal was a non-factor.

Big win for Provvy. Despite the ranking, they were road dogs. Aside from Creighton today, the BE did well.

I'm not the biggest fan of what the Sixers are doing but if they get a little basketball luck they will be fighting for a playoff spot next year. Simmons and Okafor plus LAs 1st rndr would be the building blocks for a really good team. Philly could have 4 1st round picks next year if they get some luck.....
