That's it. I have been trying to figure out why over the last few years why the team has not had the defensive prowess as they had in previous years. The team does not have that mentality that defense is just as fun as offense. Like playing in the play ground or AAU. Players run 200 m/hrs on offense the on defensive transition they are jogging. This team is to long not to be better defensive. If they shore up their defense and play like JTIII teams in the past on defense, this team can be special.
I think JTII phrased it right in POST game. Teams has to start having fun on defense.

Fun is probably an overstatement. Taking pride in tight D, that I can understand. It has seemed to me that getting back down the floor and getting in position on D has been pretty bad and that's more easily fixed than switching and rotations. Just have to put in the effort and sprint back. That has to change and quickly. We seem to get a man or 2 back in transition OK but the help seems to arrive slower than it should. With the depth we have this year, there's no excuse for not getting back on D. If you're tired, there's a guy to give you a breather. And that should be the case for every single guy on the team. You jog? You sit.
