I thought it would be interesting a couple times a week to bring up an ex-player or a "just missed" recruit to see how the season is progressing for them...(I know it's early)
Today's Installment: Stephen Domingo
MIN Per Game: 20.5 PTS: 2.8 AST: 1.5 REB: 5.0 FG%: 33.3 3PT%: 14.3
As we all know Domingo is now playing for California, who have started out strong (4-0) #14 in the country. He is actually seeing solid minutes off the bench. However game seems the same, good rebounder as a 2G with his size. Clearly still can't throw the ball into the ocean based off those shooting percentages.

Are they playing him at the 2 or at the 3 like he had to do at times here?
Glad he was able to finish his career closer to home but he was a definite miss.

Frank Martin is up to his usual coaching ways, at half time he blasted his PG for throwing the ball out of bounds twice during the first half of the SC vs Tulsa game at St Thomas. Didn't watch the entire game so I'm not sure if he was referring to Dozier or one of his other PG.

I hope Martin just keeps on doing. There are a handful of coaches of whom I ask "How does this guy get any recruits?" Martin is at the top of the list. Crean is also included.

At this point definitely sad we missed on Eli Carter. Would've taken Tacko too, lots of potential there for a 4 year big guy (maybe 3 based on size)

They're out Cusing Cuse. I don't mean to say that he hasn't played well and won't continue to do so. But their preseason schedule is pretty bad.

Carter has an ORtg of less than 100, takes over 38% of the shots when he's on the floor, and both his eFG% and TS% are less than 50%. He gets to the line a ton, but thus far is shooting less than 60% from the stripe. Dishes out a lot of assists, and comes up with steals. Would he have helped us? Probably. Maybe III could rein in his possession usage, especially with our talent vs BC's, but I like the minutes going to Johnson. Now if Tre doesn't come back...

Anthony Collins is going to win A%M a lot of games. On the above list he's the guy I think we could have used most the last 4 games.

Another transfer onto that team we pursued - 6'7" guard Danuel House. averaging 15 pts 5 rebounds 3 assists and their leading scorer in several upsets.

I still think Dickerson would've been helpful - his rebounds certainly would've been welcomed. Of course, we couldn't have gotten Agau in that case, so maybe in the end it will balance out in future seasons.
